If the person/character was alive before the Meiji restoration you DON'T reverse the name order.
So unless I've missed a memo somewhere, Nobuna who is based on Oda Nobunaga would be in the 1600s and as such her name should NOT get reversed.

While it doesn't mention it as a rule, it is widely thought of as a rule by scholars specializing in Japanese. It is one of the main reasons why if you look at a history book and see references to the great Samurai of Japan, their names will usually be in the Japanese order, while post Meiji restoration Japanese will most of the time have their name in the western order.
Personally I have always thought it was a bit rude to switch the order or westernize the names of Japanese people, but I also have a bit of a different view in comparison to other people seeing as I had teachers asking if I wouldn't be so kind as to change my name to fit the Icelandic language better.
Apparently it was hard for them to accept that some people are proud of their family names and don't want to be called "whatever-son"
