Technically you can't see the nipples (just the areolas) so it doesn't count in Japanese nudity terms.
I'm pretty sure it's her nipple on pic#2 and #3.
it's more like variety of both, in some frames nipples are colored gold so it looks like it's just part of the ornament, in others it's colored dark blue as her areolas so it looks like pierced nipple.
This is simply, use your brain people, those ARE THE NIPPLES, no way around it, but in the CLOSEUP they painted them gold too to camouflage them a little, otherwise there nipples would draw way too much attention and would not get away with it easily in this time slot.
Looks to me like her nipple was magically turned into a metal bead in the first pic, but in the other two, the magic bead disappears to be replaced with...*gasp* a pierced nipple.

it's because of the attention the show gets, Magi is not popular for lots of half naked girls or borderline hentai scenes, so nipples can easily slip through
Magi airs on a family time-slot (17:00 on Tokyo Broadcasting System), so this isn't exactly reasonable.
A more logical reason would be due to the earlier depictions of Jinn (or Djinn/Genie) not being fully-clothed. If you were to make an anime with gods being centered, nipples would easily be forgiven.
You could even make it easier by saying it's not exactly a "human," as she is some gigantic spirit-like being with a body of blue skin.
I'm going with the non-human approach to censoring as well, also it's a cultural-historical-lore thing with the whole Aladdin story line.
