Finally – Ishihara Resigns

Tokyo’s 80-year-old dear leader Shintaro Ishihara has announced he intends to resign and form his own national party – though no sooner had he announced his ambitions than he began calling for the degenerate youth of Japan to be herded into military camps.
As a prefectural governor (styled “mayor”) of Tokyo, Ishihara’s antics were theoretically limited to the Tokyo region, but he claims he yearns for a return to the national politics in the Diet and so will be resigning and forming a new party with himself as leader.
As Ishihara has already recently started one irrelevant party of geriatrics, there is some confusion as to just why he needs yet another – although he is apparently sympathetic to Hashimoto’s “Restoration” party (formerly limited to Osaka, his party will be fielding candidates throughout Japan for the next general election) and its aims of wresting control of Japan from the central bureaucracy.
His replacement as governor will likely be the vice-governor – a man who hates young people and manga fans almost as much as Ishihara, and whom Ishihara has said he believes will continue to carry out his agenda.
No sooner had Ishihara announced his resignation than he began calling for young people he hates so much to be conscripted into national service:
“I want young people to feel more of a sense of solidarity. They should work for free in the SDF or police. I’ll be conferring with my associates as to whether we can bring this about.”

"They should work for free in the SDF"... Give them gundams, homu-hummers and itacopters, you'll turn akiba in a military base in no time :P.
oh, and give girls panzers. girls like panzers.
Here's a better idea, why doesn't HE work for free?
Amusing as the idea might be, he wouldn't be able to pass the physical exam.
Forget the physical exam, the pscological exam would have him in a straght jacket faster than he can say "barberic".
Add to that, what are his descendants doing? Not working for free in the SDF.
"They should work for free in the SDF"
I made a WTF face to the point it hurts.
Why you should work for free for police?
So you can get free legal access to loli and under-age girls of coarse!
So where can I sign in?
I'm proud of Artefact!
i refuse to settle for nothing less than my own custom mobile suit. emphasis on custom.
Fully Raep capable? cuz I suspect you would want to hunt him down and make him pay!
We will then overthrow tokyo and rule japan for ourself, the otaku world and japan will be in a golden era
So are we talking Military like China, or are we talking "The Game" from battle royale?
I have a feeling he'd be OK with either one. "The Game" however isn't designed to build solidarity as you're required to eventually kill anyone you team up with or you both will die by exploding collar.
give them panzers and take away their pantsu
Who needs pantsu when you have bloomers and witches >.>
Who needs pantsu if you have panzer
Now he can go back to writing rape novels.
The only thing that gets him hard anymore.
Online maybe.
And here's a potential scene from it:
"Asuka was now wearing only brief white panties. She had signaled her desire by removing her shirt and skirt, and by leaning back on the couch. She closed her eyes, concentrating on nothing but Shintarou's tongue and lips. He gently teased her by licking the areas around her most sensitive erogenous zone. Then he slipped her panties down her legs and, within seconds, his tongue was inside her, moving rapidly."
Is it still plagiarism if the names are changed?
You forgot the part where he sticks his penis out at her through a paper door.
Fucking sexy. I bet Ishitara was beating his cock off when he wrote that. Dreaming of giant penises drooling hungrily through paper-doors at half-naked females.
And the world will be better for it--from what I saw his stuff was actually quite good.
I wouldn't mind a NTR doujin with gramp's signature on it.
He was a good novel-writer but his shit law attacks on manga/anime is pure b.s.
He fucked up the manga/anime industry and international trade really. It's going to take some time and groups to over-turn that Westernization shit, and hopefully relinquish the paranoia in the West about cartoon characters.
Anime and Manga should be free to express itself. It is just lines, storylines and ink after-all on paper.
Is it me or does he kinda look like
http://knowyourmeme.com/memes/okay-guy
Let's just hope that the next guy that takes his place is not a retard like him.
Not happening unless you can prevent all the outdated relics in Tokyo from voting. And unless someone who isn't retarded like him campaign for the post.
In other words, not going to happen in the next one or two decades.
Uuuugh I don't want to be fucking ooooold or dead before manga/anime is free again!
Stupid relics! Why did they all have to start screwing with the fanservice in 2000!?
Sadly, Japanese politicians aren't exactly known for their clarity of mind...
To be fair, the Japanese in general are the ones who have developed SHOUTING LOUDLY ON A STREET CORNER into the predominant method of political campaigning.
and the americans put the term "attack campaign" into use. frankly, I dont care how bad the other guy is, just tell me how the fck youre going to do what you say. but sadly, they never do.....
05:55 that's cause the president is just a figurehead, everything comes down to their cabinet and who funds their cabinet.
cough
Romney
cough
Even if you dropped the Japanese part it would still sadly be true. Of course the Diet is the only first-world government office I know of where fist fights break out... not reassuring.
Have you seen Taiwan's legislature? It explains why they don't need to televise boxing or wrestling matches in Taiwan.
That's awesome. Political debates should be resolved by the force and will of the strongest. Whenever someone disagrees on an issue, they ought to hold a nationally televised duel to the death!
We had a boxing ring for 2 MP in Canada a while back: Liberal MP Justin Trudeau vs. Conservative Senator Patrick Brazeau.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NK-KvxRZkiA
That was more a gentleman's fight than a brawl. We could use a few rounds of that for our political debates.
I think all civil law suit such as patents/copyright etc should be held in an arena fight. Let's see they bring a reverse class action suit in which the lawyer from the record company fight try to fight against 100+ people for copyright violation all at once. ;)
the world doesn't need a man like me, the world needs a man like Harvey Dent
But instead, they got Batman, the hero they deserved.
It'll probably be Inose-- he's just as bad!!
Nope, he made sure before he left office that the next guy is just as retarded >.>
According to the article you didn't read, he made sure that a retard replaced him.
Wait a second, national party means greater chance for him to run for presidential position... @_@
Is he really suggesting the enslavement of Japanese youth for the military? The last time Japan tried something like that, they got nuked, twice. Even then, I'm pretty sure the soldiers were paid.
On the one hand, it's a great thing that such a detestable person has abdicated power. In some ways, it's almost on par with a Kim Jong Il level of politician stepping down, though Ishihara apparently only dreams of becoming so ruthless and dominating. If he were in any other part of the world, his resignation from such a post would likely mean the end of his tenure on the face of politics, given most elsewhere would be absolutely terrified of seeing him in office again after seeing his agenda. However, with a vice mayor (governor) just as bad, it feels more akin to trading Putin for Medvedev, i.e. just another of the same vein of his madness.
As for the national Japanese political scene, I'm not sure how he'd fare, and that does raise some level of concern. Again, in neigh any other country, he'd find himself out the door, or just pushed to some powerless yet cushy desk job (which he may very well end up doing).
I admit I'm not as well-versed in the Japanese political scene, and by the revolving door that the prime minister and other seats seem to be, I'm not sure how anyone does.
Japan is facing a lot of issues: societal, economic, and certainly in defense just to name a few. Honestly, it seems they need a younger, charismatic leader that can actually get enthusiasm support behind him rather than this backroom dealing of geriatrics whose only concern seems to be their hate of the young.
Dramatic change is needed there, and it certainly won't occur with people like Ishihara in power. One can only hope his resignation will be the beginning of a push that will drive Japan in a better direction in all aspects of life.
There's a lot of challenges out there in the world, a lot of people hoping for better days to come. When people learn to stop being divisive and actually come together toward something better and realize that people are people, regardless of what they look like and where they come from, maybe then we'll start making great strides in that direction.
X&V,
K.D.S.
Well said. I'd upvote, but seeing as I'm without an account you'll have to settle for a comment.
What are you talking about? He's not feared in Japan, he was reelected again just recently.
Change will be minimal since he's leaving his protege behind, and he's planning to make his own party. It'll very likely fail, but if it doesn't things will get even worse.
He's up there in age. Perhaps he will kneel over and croak!
I could be wrong, but wasn't the last time something like this happened, it was the Nazi party that was created, and also a particular demographic was also singled out?
Those most worthy and would make the greatest use of power are often the ones who seek it least, while those most unworthy are often those who seek it most.
History tends to seem cyclical for those that refuse to learn from it.
I.e., the rest of us learning to keep guys like him well out of reach of the reins of power.
Yeah, yeah, what he said.....lol
