Yuiko was actually kind of fun, and her voice isn't completely intolerable like the retarded girl from ep2, but since Komari is sadly a popular(?) mainstay I'm not sure I have the fortitude to stick with the series.
The main male character's voice and appearance also scream "whiny little loser-type" as well, so that doesn't help much either.

and while komachi's voice is ANNOYING TO NO END DAMMIT she got some gold moment with kyosuke and kurugaya , IF they animate those ..
well, i mean a whole scene in the game is dedicated to how much he looks like a girl. so yeah, weak and little he may be, but he gets the job done (EX version)
Could someone please tell me when does this turn into an "amazing story"? Cause I didn't like Clannad but I can totally admit it had a storyline going on for it, while this seems like a slice of life anime that it isn't realistic at the least while at the same time nothing interesting or extraordinary happens, and they are just archetypes trying desperately to be moe or cool (in the case of male characters).
I mean I love the opening song and I thought it was going to be a mellowdramatic & nostalgic show about friendship or something. It's hard to care for them (even if things get serious later on) if half the cast is mentally challenged and shallow.
Wait till after the baseball match for shit to get serious. They definitely develop and show much depth in characters by then;in the meantime I'll be counting the days until Kud's debut ( *_*)
The cast is only secondary compared to the actual plot of the show. But just like clannad, the show is going to go through the subplots of the girls before the actual story starts. There definitly is a good plot, you just have to wait for it.

Screenplay and animation suck so hard, the episode isn't even worth scrutinizing.
This has proven itself to be a simplified, flattened, "Key"-branded anime for idiots. Oh well, on a bright side, that'll teach you not to wish too much for anime-adaptations of things you admired.
