Little Busters! has finally received its anime adaptation, and despite endless complaints that the show was not handed over to KyoAni, the end result seems to have been joyously accepted by fans as a faithful and worthy adaptation of the original visual novel.
Far from complaining about liberties taken with the original, many existing fans have been expressing astonishment at just how closely the series sticks to the game, perhaps something of a first.

I finished watched this 1st episode just a little while ago, and it was great! Seriously, it seems to be off to a great start. Looking forward to more.
Having read the VN, I found the first episode quite nice and more or less faithful to the original.
Just didn't like how the sub I picked (UTW-Mazui), changed things like Pochi to Fido and Saito to Melvin.. For no reason at all. What I'm hearing and reading just doesn't match and it breaks it immersion.
WTF. Doesn't sound like the UTW-Mazui that I know...
Then you haven't been been paying attention lately, as all UTW does these days is steal crunchysubs or get someone else like Mazui translate their shit, using whatever amateur translators they can scrounge up.
What the hell. Localization is for people with tiny brains who don't want to accept that the world is a whole lot bigger than their neighborhood.
localization fuckers just make shit up on the spot 95% of the time lol...
Fuck that shit. Don't need no America in my Japanese anime.
It's like god damn bacon and apple pie in katsudon and soba. It just ain't done.
>Just didn't like how the sub I picked (UTW-Mazui), changed things like Pochi to Fido and Saito to Melvin. For no reason at all.
No, not for "no reason", since as you might notice "I'm Saito" sounds nothing like "Good morning". Them sounding alike was the entire point. The name itself doesn't matter at all, and the translation wouldn't make much sense had they left it unchanged.
That's because Pochi translates to Fido, and Saito to Melvin. Learn your moonspeak.
>That's because Pochi translates to Fido
Yep, it's "Fido".
Not "Poochie", "Fido".
Watch it raw then. It's much clearer and more enjoyable that way.
I was also surprised that it stuck fairly close to an extent. I'm still wondering how they're going to include Saya into this...
wow wtf..
It's honestly as bad as Brock from Pokemon saying an onigiri a donut.
i believe it was popcorn balls, not donuts
Might have been popcorn balls once but I remember them CONSTANTLY referring to rice balls as "donuts."
Big fucking deal...
It IS a big fucking deal when people screw around with stuff like that. Like Tetra said, it breaks the immersion.
Non it's not you sad fucking weeaboo.
no it not you dumb fuck
Fuck this there is not enough sex
Fuck this there are not enough cats!
2 lancer's in this show. No wonder Masato keeps getting killed.
Another one of those shows with some retardedly violent cunt? Yeah, no thanks.
Cute characters but no panty-shots?
LAME! LAME! LAAaaAAme! These fill-in skirt coverings suck.
Dat casting..
NOTHING HAPPENED AT ALL.
Even Angel Beats had a better first episode, and Angel Beats sucked.
I'm guessing your entertained by generic Shonen shows...
If you don't see explosions or people fighting "nothing happened"!
What I do know is people sitting around talking to each other endlessly doesn't constitute as entertainment.
An anime "EX" without ecstasy?!?
Kinda don't get what's so special about this. So far the first episode was nothing special and pretty much gave the impression of a generic harem anime with a weak and pathetic looking male protagonist. And oh how I do hate those kinds of protagonists.
Tho I admit I know nothing about the game other then knowing it exists.
Give it 5 episodes. I don't expect J.C. staff to hold true after 5 episodes. Little Buster's episode 1 is excellent but I'm not going to go touting it around until I see evidence that it is still faithful to the game by episode 5.
terrible, i want kyoani nao
In the Game, are we just focus on Riku, or we can switch the focus on other characters of Little Busters' members?
The game is narrated from Riki's point of view, with negligible exceptions being at the end of character arcs and by the end of the big story.
Yet again, idiots calling this shit before it even began. If it's not understandable to you, do you drop the movie in the first ten minutes as well?
You seem to be forgetting that SanCom is full of Sheep and man-children.
That baseball throw is awesome.
The cuteness in this season's anime is unbearable.
No it isn't. Plus, there's more shows that haven't aired yet.
Having never had contact of any kind or in any form with Little Busters before this,I found the 1st episode incredibly boring.
I feel the same. If I didn't know how renowned it is there's no way I would watch a second episode.
Everything was better than expected and I only have minor complaints. In Komari's scene they don't seem to have captured Hinoue's character design as well as they could have. An example would be Komari's eyes, which are too small and round. I'm not getting the same "Itaru-e" vibe as I did from the KyoAni adaptions.
Nevertheless I feel that it is a solid first episode.
That's not to say that I think KyoAni would do a better job as of today. It seems like they haven't been capable of character design that deviates from K-ON for the past 3 years.
Nichijou looks like K-ON. News to me.
I'll be the first to admit. I peed alittle when the pulled the flamethrower trick as kids...
Same style. Both with some kind of magic. Both moe. Both started at the same time. And this show could've been made by KyoAni. Chuunibyou vs this- which will win?
Not to be THAT guy, but I am starting to get the characters mixed up when I watch KyoAni stuff. In particular Chuunibyou and Hyouka main character. The quality is awesome but it's like they found a great recipe and are baking the same bread every day. If KyoAni did even more stuff I'd be in trouble. -_-
Hey at least my baked goods are "quality approved", and I can stand the over-abundance of sugar from KyoAni.
I'm hoping that Saya hasn't been forgotten.

1st Ep Sucks... at least for me :/
