Yeah, had the same feeling. Great manga, the spin-off was pretty intense.
it says latest "Volume" not chapter, and each volume generally contains around 4-6 chapters. and since this series is a released on a monthly basis, i'd say its just about right.

I'm a huge fan of this series but Amazume has raised the art of the slow cocktease to new extremes. My interest is in guessing when Kaoru actually gets to stick his wiener in Nana's honeypot. My best prediction is around chapter 500.
Amazume-sensei is god-like. Love all his series (especially Toshiue no Hito). His art is unbelievable but it's his writing, he is a master of sexual tension and awkwardness (and premature ejaculation, see his other stories its a constant theme).

This is a surprisingly good series, and not just for the sexual end of it, but both the romance and the psychological bits. It's very very accurate to how much of the BDSM world works, and the main character is super-dedicated to ensuring that nothing happens without the express say-so of the female partner, right down to safe words and plenty of failsafes. Beats the heck out of 50 Shades of Grey, and came long before too.
American novels will always be shit on subjects like this. That's cus their too afraid to explore it and there always filled with political CRAP on anything.
But Nana? Blows it right out the water. This is why I love Japanese manga and shows. Because they don't HOLD BACK like americans do.

Look, I watch porn as much as the next guy. Call it what it is.
There is no sex. There is no genitalia showing. Actually, tue manga kinda divide the focus between the bdsm amd the relation between Nana and Kaoru (and Tachi).
It's not pornographic (though it contains a lot of fanservice), but it touches subject material that is generally only associated with porn.
The manga basically focuses on the secret BDSM antics of "perfect student" Nana and pervert Kaoru. Despite the subject it's never "explicit" but just consists of teasing (wearing fetishistic outfits, being taken for a walk with a collar, girl being forced to go into the men's toilet), with lots of narration of the character's thoughts. It's more exciting than sexually stimulating. I can't fap to it, but it does make me feel funny. I generally dislike fanservice, but I'd say this is worth reading just for how...intense it is, so to say.
(It must be noted that I myself am slightly masochistic; it might be less exciting if you have absolutely nothing with BDSM.)
