I really don't understand the hate for this series. It's pretty damn accurate to the source material - the only real issue is that it skips around, but that's no different from Haruhi Suzumiya, and besides Endless Eight no one rags on that series for it.

Terrible anime adaptation? Which part is terrible? I read the LN up to the Alicization Arc, and I didn't find anything wrong with the anime plot. They only skips the "Oh so not important" part. They pictures the main storyline so well, I really enjoyed it!
