1) I don't know which shitty place you live in where girls are "not very skilled at using makeup" even at that age, but it sure aint that case for most of the developed world.

Most college girl in any major city in the world (including Japan. The girls are probably better at makeup than most girls from any Asian country because of their culture. You probably don't know this as well...) are skilled in makeup. Can you imagine some college girl from Paris, London, Tokyo or New York being bad at makeup? HAHAHA! If you do, you sure haven't travelled enough or are super dense... but hey, that is how pitiful virgins are.

2) Maeda Atsuko isn't even wearing very much makeup in most of the pictures. Any female friends can tell you that, Asian, White or Black (bet you don't have female friends either lol...)

One of the most important step in makeup is evening the skin tone out with foundation. That itself makes your complexion less dull. Drawing your eyebrows, lining your eyes and putting some mascara will make you look less sleepy. Lastly some blusher and lipgloss will give you colour and make you "livelier". And just these few steps can transform most girls.

And again, if you think all those steps are "heavy makeup", you truly are an idiot. This is considered as basic makeup and most girls can do this (and definitely more like eyeshadows, lipsticks, concealer, etc).

What is all this bullshit? Any Asian girl will tell you Maeda Atsuko without makeup still looks like Maeda Atsuko, albeit less attractive than her official pics. She will also confirmed that she isn't wearing very much makeup even in her official pics. Even with just a little makeup, the right lighting, good clothes, flattering hair and a smile makes a big difference. There's no denying reality as it is. They didn't their idol as attractive anymore, and whether or not any comments are trolls or not, they still place that those fans have a harsh view of her since she isn't 'dolled up' anymore.
