I didn't have a clue this had happened to her until now. I'm curious as to her motives. She's always been self-aware before, so chances are this is yet another statement on her part. Celebrities can lose a lot of weight very quickly, as well as gain it very quickly, with access to people who are trained in healthy methods of doing so. Just as her ridiculous fashion sense is, perhaps she's going for a statement nobody understands here as well.
I posted something along the same lines before I noticed your post, and I agree. With the fat rolls half hanging out of the trashy fishnet stockings with the black latex thong or whatever, and the typical marijuana shirt, there's no way she's not totally aware of this. So it's all just an act, or perhaps she has some sort of disease which causes weight gain, and is trying to make it into an act.

It's called metabolism. Some people put on weight easier than others. Lady Gaga obviously has a lower metabolism with you, thus when she's not dancing she is prone to gaining weight faster.
I have a very high metabolism, so I look stick thin regardless of my poor diet and lack of exercise. Any doctors I see always ask me if I have a eating disorder, I am that thin.
