“Emergency Arrest”: Police Bust Schoolboy for Tearing Menu

Police were recently forced to conduct an emergency arrest of a boy for the grievous crime of damaging a school cafeteria menu, after teachers concluded his behaviour was so outrageous they could not possibly be expected to handle him.
The incident occurred one morning at an Okinawa middle school, where a 15-year-old boy became annoyed at being warned not to play on a balcony near a classroom, and tore down a menu describing the school’s lunches.
The school immediately called in the police, saying his behaviour “went beyond the limits of school discipline,” and responding officers quickly arrested him at the scene for criminal property damage.
The boy admits the charges, saying “I got angry at being warned so I tore it.” The incident was also dutifully reported in the pages of local media.
In light of recent events, there has been a certain amount of concern expressed online:

Really ripping down a menu shouldn't be no more then a one hour of detention thing at least that what I got for defiling posters with a marker when I was in Jr High.

And with the menu-creation rate in Japan, they need to keep all the menus they can.

The school had to pay to get that menu made.
The school doesn't pay the students to enroll.
It's the teachers' fault. They placed the menu where it can be torn down. Maybe the students can suggest that it was just a gravity problem?

To be fair it may have had more to do with his tendency to "play on a balcony" than his petulant defacement of a menu.
On the side of the news: Teachers, especially principals, are heavily promoting and tolerating bullying of others as long as they students could force the victim to go kill himself/herself. The worst they would do it the better.

At least here if the cops are unusually mean, it's played out all over the news and internet, causing the said officer in question to resign from his post. While this country is fast approaching being hidden camera capital of the world, at least I can ask people where the nearest gas station is and not be arrested for it.

We are given the 'opportunity' with rights. Not blank check that doesn't run out no matter what you do. The big difference is that no matter your social standing, you are still given that right at birth. It is not alienable by actions of others, but most definitely alienable by consequences of your own actions.
