That was what they retconned it to. Originally it was 3 times (300%) faster than a regular Zaku.

Oh, wow! When we thought Toyota can't get any worse, they suddenly announce this. As shitty as a regular Auris, plus it looks completely gay.
All of the "cars" that Toyota makes since 2003-2004 are shit, and they don't seem to learn from their mistakes. I seriously LOLd when they blamed the Gran Turismo series, claiming that young people don't buy their shit because those games are so realistic they don't need a real car. Epic fail.
(No, don't mention the GT-86, because it was originally proposed by FHI, and is essentially a modified Impreza.)

Their cars have always been reliable to me for many years.
And since when reliability is a special thing in a Japanese car? They are all reliable, this is their strongest selling point. Being reliable is not enough if they plan to target younger people or car enthusiasts, but instead of designing cheap, fast, and fun to drive cars (just like they used to do for years), they complain about these people not buying their shit.
I love Japanese cars, I had many (including quite a few older Toyota), and I still stand my opinion: this is not a car, this is a piece of shit.
And I'm fine with my Mazda, even if they are in trouble, they're still able to make enjoyable cars.
Oh, and I wonder: will it come with sticking pedals, or they need to be ordered as an extra option, with added cost?
