This IchikoxMomiji episode is sweet and wonderful. Glad to see more parodies. New Momiji is so gorgeous. She should be the main star of this awesome series.
If you like the series as it is, a (mostly) non-serious comedy with lots of pop culture references, then you'll not like the direction the series takes not long after the confrontation with Momiji's boss.
Remember those serious episodes, like the one where Keita's little brother almost drowns, or the one where Keita falls off the cliff, or when Ichigo is almost raped? Imagine the series like that most of the time, rather than occasionally. That's what happens in the manga. It's a genre shift, and not for the better.
but was the death note parody in the original manga?
they could make the serious plot more subtile while keeping n having a certain amount of jokes and parody per episode, a bit like the seriousness hints of ebiten or haruhi and so on :)
There aren't too many chapters left in the manga and i personally don't think there's a complete genre-shift going on. Among all the comedy spoof there are also some rther serious things happening. I don't particularly like those myself, but i can see why the author wants to make a certain statement, every now and then. After all, this show has no clearly defined evil party (side-characters being the exception)and as such, the author feels the need to create overbearing serious situations. That doesn't mean that the whole series is turning into something different.
But yeah, if there's going to be a second season, we would have to wait for more content anyway.
This was such heartwarming episode that I felt as if my heart melted. The crying Momiji scene broke whatever was left of it.
As much as I would love to have this gorgeous Momiji stay, I feel bad for Momou who dearly misses the abusive and dominant Momiji.
Yup. It's fuckin boring random trash, with garbage voices. Reactions to anything out of the ordinary are so fuckin stupid. This shit doesn't make any... More
binbou da is so pretty

She IS the main star of this series.
Binbouda & Ranmaru are the "Diamond in Raw Form".
I lol'd hard when I see the parody of L's last stand.
you could sort of tell with her unusual twin pig-tail stail and subtly kind demeanour, but damn!
lol death note reference
Death Note parody, nice.
So.. is that anime over now?
Probably no, There is more stuff to parody about it
No it has one more episode left.
Some pics is parody of Cyclops Shoujo Saipu~
i can see the resemblance, but i think this in the manga happened before saipu, and they followed the anime closely.
Did Binbou just became the prettiest girl of this season?
I think she did!
The title goes to Oda Nobuna.
No it belongs to momiji
Haha I see what you did there. But still... Momiji!
I freaking love this show!
And Momiji looks so damn good with her hair down.
At least this series makes me laugh.
Momiji <3
Damn, that means no Nadeshiko arc this time. PLEASE!!! SECOND SEASON!!!
Delicious Chichiko is delicious.
Indeed, Momiji looks very pretty here but Ichiko is my #1.
Only one more episode left... ;_;
Hoping for a season 2 of this fine show *crosses fingers*
I'd be careful what you wish for...

Yep, the whole scene is taken straight from the manga. In fact, this anime hasn't had a whole lot of original filler.
And you can't really 'downplay' Tanpopo without making her pointless.
