Ore no Imouto fans will soon have to cope with a devastating future without more Ore no Imouto, and with most (or possibly even all) of their heroines dumped in favour of whoever Kyosuke selects as his little sweet potato…
The cover only announces the news of the 2nd season, but the last page ends on “continued in the final volume” – to be the 12th and final:
Considering how fans have treated even the suspicion that one or another heroine might be set for victory, most of the conclusion’s drama may well take place off page.

If you have read the novel, which is the original, you would know that it is simply amazing and very funny. It's much better than the anime, which was good too.

I do want to know what happens next in shows that ended ambiguously like Index, Durarara, Rosario Vampire, but I probably won't ever pick up a manga to find out.

I am fine with any ending besides an Ayase ending, unfortunately she seemed to have been getting a slight lead as of the last light novel. Ayase is like Kirino, without the "being his sister" plot perk. It would be such an incredible troll if he ended up with her, she is an even more boring character than Manami, who is a childhood friend type character, but at least she is an interesting spin on it. Ayase is just your generic character that panders to the M crowd, lol. It'd be like, a series where the main character has to fight demons and dragons, and the last boss is an evil cheese grater, anticlimactic and disappointing. Here's hoping for an ending that will do this series justice.
