Square Enix’s legendary care and attention to detail with respect to its much esteemed Final Fantasy franchise are once again the cause of controversy amongst fans – this time because of the level of quality evident in their new figure line.
The “Trading Arts Mini” figures go on sale in December from the official Square Enix store and elsewhere:
Needless to say, coming so soon after the announcement that she is to star in yet another Final Fantasy XIII title, there is now a certain sense of foreboding present amongst those fans for whom these figures do represent the height of cuteness…
Cloud and company also exhibit the kind of care and desire to please fans Square Enix is now so known for, right down to the horsebird:

Craftsmanship's actually good. It's the faces that make me want to never leave these alone in the room while I sleep.
Don't feed them after midnight.
What is it? gremlin?
I second.
burn it!
If it's made in china it will destroy itself, so don't worry.
She looks like a granny or even a tranny.
Thats retarded, thats how classic final fantasy games looks like, the advent children and new gay looks ruined the franchise.
OH LOL BUTTHURT FFVI FAN HERE
FF3 NES version would stomp all on the FFs. 1st Odin summon biatch
Actually FFVI characters didn't even have heads that big. Hell, even FFV and all games before it, where the overworld character sprites were limited to like a single 16x16 block of pixels, at least had bodies that looked like they could support the big heads they had.
These figures, not so much. That in combination with the weird pointy chins for a chibi, just makes them nightmare fuel. Looks like some teenagers first attempt at chibi drawings.
Why can't they work together with GoodSmile Company, to make Nendoroids or Figmas?
These are just terrible Nendo rip-offs
kill it with fire
What....the... fuck... Is wrong.... square enix.. you really have shit loads of cash to just burn if you can make this.... this....
Square Enix:
Just when I thought their products couldn't get any more unattractive...
Those faces are extremely messed up, but other that that, they're not that bad of a figure.
I'll save my money.
Woot Lolicon figures !!
Actually, they're not really *that* bad. Yeah the faces are kinda cringeworthy, especially considering the chibi-ness, and the paint jobs could be a little better, but, overall, not that terrible. The hair is actually kinda neat looking- Squall's is pretty nice, but Squall's always had perfect hair.
Quality wise, I wouldn't charge a high price for'em. They look like something you would charge a cheaper price for.
ffx yuna is cute, but thats about it.
Might get ruined if you try to fix it, ruined even before.
Ugh. These guys need to find a good plastic surgoen.
Why the hell are Square Enix's toys so damn piss poor? They're as expensive as Figmas and Revoltechs, they should at least have the same quality control.
if this thing goes chucky on me, it's square's fault
Oh sweet Jesus, whoever designed those are so getting fired, I can imagine, once the company sees the sales (or lack thereof).
These models are prime example of what Square Enix has degraded to.
Cheap shit!!!
What's so bad about them? I think they're fine for the style they're trying to represent. Super Deformed.
Wtf is wrong with their faces and heads?!
I, for instance, don't find them as bad as sancocky is making them out to be. While not exactly true to the original, the faces have that retro-ish feel to them, I find it quite interesting,
Too much lightning, less FFX-FF7. Needs more of that than lightning.
Nah, I'd take Lightning over FF7-FFX.
>Lightning
>not Celes
It's like moe throw-up. Someone punched the shit out of the stomach's of the girl's of Ichigo Mashamaro and these figures is what came out.
Me No Gusta.
It's : no me gusta
lol outsourced to china. How do I know? Look at their CHINS
I cant wait to get hot glue all over that 3rd one...
Why the long face???
Well looks like Squenix is finally having its Seida moment. Let's see, what are some appropriate names?
Lighding?
Scrall?
Tifur?
Coud?
Harseburd?
lols
The only horrible thing about them are the eyes imho...
They're... weird. The rest looks cute.
What the fuck is this shit?
Can't wait to see the bootlegs
Dafuq is this quality!?
This looks more like a joke than that tokimeki type zero they showed.
Woody now has an army of dwarven minions to aid in his nefarious photo opportunities.
Dafuq is this shit?! Is this what they call quality?
Why didn't they just ask other companies such as Good Smile to make figures for them?
Cloud at least looks ok, I guess.
well... it's cute to some, but definitely not appealing to me
Horsebird looks fine.
Good enough, the fans will buy it anyway!
The faces are messed up, but the rest isn't bad.
