Just how cliche is that? A plot that has been done to death since middle-age and in children bedtime stories.
I didnt personaly like the next arc after what we went through in sao he seemed to be omfg its her one momment then rather meh most of the rest of the story untill just before the end.
The fight was just streaks of blue and 85% of the episode was just pandering for Asuna..
I gave it 1 more chance, and even with the praise, it's still fucking unbearable..
Don't worry. Once the Aincrad arc ends Asuna becomes Princess Peach locked away in Bowser's Castle for the entirety of the next arc. Because that's exactly the coolest thing to happen to a decent heroine, am I right?!

I was going to reply you with a serious argument, but then I realised 2 things:
1- It's sankaku, which means it's made to cause rage.

Even though you got really bad rating I agree with you. Most people on the site right now are just butthurt who think that the anime at the moment which have gotten good ratings or are being well praised are cliche and the same and have yet to accept the fact that most of all the "good" animes out there are ideas that have already been done by a manga/LN/VN or even another anime before it.
Why even bother watching future episodes? Now we know Kirito even oneshots floor bosses solo. It wasn't even cool or epic, just ridiculous

Really, you have to pay better attention when watching something. Kirito took a major gamble against a weakened boss with his attack. And he was almost dead in the end. He is solo power-playing the "game" for exactly such situations and it was more than a close call. The boss would have killed him at peak health and strictly one-on-one. The whole situation was way too chaotic for his usual play-style from the beginning.
You do realise that the boss monster only has 3/4 of his HP bar full when Kirito and co. rushed in, right? So no, he did not oneshot a floor boss.
He specifically can't counter the next floor boss. It will be the "epic fight" you desire when we eventually get to it (probably ep12).
He jumps in after the boss had already taken some damage, also i should point out that Kirito was on about 1% health when he lands the final blow. Hes extremely lucky he isn't dead, one slip up, 1 unlucky crit and he would of been dead.
Since these guys are playing with their own life they normally run with a large safety net( Teleport items, lots of healing items and fighting monsters ~10 levels below them), the average person in this game gets shit scared when their health drops below 50%
Try that with the next floor boss...

This is addressed in one Lisbeth's side story. He gets a new black coat tailored by Ashley's on the 48th floor every so often.
There's actual armor and then there's cosmetic armor, which is shown on your avatar instead of the (most of the time) horrible looking real armor.
How are the clothes/armor in 3, 4, and 5 the same?

While I have not read the novels, I know someone who has and the anime is probably getting praised since it finally got back to the main story (which is good) and finished most of the side stories (which are not so good).

I agree. You're full of shit. Sword Art Online was the most popular anime of 2012. You [Sankaku Complex] and SeventhShit [SeventhStyle] probably agreed each other with the most who has no lives but to troll. SeventhShit is worser because they troll others who loves popular anime series.
Probly lost forever at the end of this comment chain, but animation from the stills seriously looks like they just took frames from Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu and editted the girl a bit. Animation style at least looks identical to my eye.

Having read the novels diminishes the joy because I already know the stupid BS reason for why Kirito is the only player with Dual Wielding, but it's nice to finally see them get to the volume 1 story instead of the endless parade of horrible side-stories.
Next couple of episodes are going to be entertaining and fun, excluding maybe the Yui sidestory when they eventually get to that (since she's in the opening).

Not really horrible. The graphics are cool and I loved the combat BUUUUT the questing is too old style with all the grind to lvl up (or rather grind kill X Qs). And its way too little end game in it.
Sad they didnt give more stuff to do in it as I said the combat was awsome.
