Weirdly enough, Tamaki was NOT the main girl either. I mean, she is one of the major routes available, but she certainly was never the poster girl for To Heart 2 in the beginning.
Until they release a To Heart 3, obviously.
Just look at Multi from To Heart. The only way to reduce it's popularity, is by releasing a sequel.

Yeah, it's true lol. Anon15:46 asked how, so the plausible way is by redoing the same thing when they decided to stop milking To Heart.
To Heart 2 managed to outshine To Heart and that was a strong title with memorable characters like Akari and Multi.
Well, they're already making a sequel for both Utawarerumono and Tears to Tiara, so they'll eventually make a to heart 3. lol
