This is Muv-luv. It wouldn't be Muv-luv if it didn't have at least some fanservice.
Fanservice is needed in every Japneses anime.
And it does it with much professionalism too, unlike many anime that make the girls do silly erotic stuff that would only exist in a fantasy.

This story takes place several years before Muvluv... you know when the Russians are still in Russia and... yeah you get the point.
About 11 months before the very start of Alternative begins to be exact.
This show is so incredibly boring. They're not even trying to tell a story.
It started ok though, 2nd episode was good, even.
Then they killed off all the promising characters and replaced them with the stupid current one :(
well this is a only spin off of the really original visual novel ... if u wanna go and read the original muv luv trigoly and focus alternative... is awsome ;) the best VN ever made...
This show is far, FAR from boring in my opinion.

Yes, G-bomb saturation of the Eurasian continent causes a gravitational phenomenon which sinks the Eurasian continent and turns of the opposite side of the planet into an uninhabitable sand plain.
Most of humanity dies and the only habitable land lies between the ocean and the sand plains (e.g. Seattle << but is being fought over US/JP vs Canada/France. BETA survived too.)
A bunch of spaceships head off to a nearby star system too but humanity is pretty much fucked in the Unlimited timeline.

As someone with a particular weak spot for silver/white haired beauties I'm enjoying this show quite a bit. They are a rare but fantastic delicacy for the eyes.

anime lost all purpose after the 3rd episode. Its filler, sucky uninteresting filler and I doubt when the action begins it will be much better. They are going to concentrate on that stupid rivalry between Nato and Russians. Anime is so frustrating, started with such a bang and desperation. Yet how could so much time past with the world not completely covered by those creatures.
Cool your jets, man. It's not like this is the only show out there that starts with a bang and then calms down right after. Many anime are like this, where they are played out like a very long movie rather than each individual episode being different. There's a story, you at least have that if you're not into the rest of it. Just have a little patience and the action will kick up again.
