People who tend to throw around the word generic tend to lead pretty fucking generic lives themselves.
The show is boring is fuck. They try to throw in a few parodies of other shows. But what anime hasn't done that already. A show can not be amazing by parodying other amazing shows. Maybe the first anime that ever did parodying pulled it off but they really can't become like that anymore.
The Manga is incredibly fun and the first episode episode was great. The main character mistakenly joined a club full of female Otaku. Tell me, what other series start off like that? And it may not be completely original, but I could care less, since it's fun.
rather than "female otaku", "fujoshi" is more appropriate, although only two of them are fujoshi, the rest are normal otaku.

Ughh, SHIT MAN! Why does this all Ero goodness have to be ruined by the darn fujoshi characters? Putting a character like that in a series is basically doing the same thing as the fujoshi do, shove "that" disgusting shit down your throat. this shit happened to me before many times, i remember watching Haganai, i was like "OMFG THE BEST ANIME OF THE SEASON" Untill episode 10 or 11, where Rika made one of those typical fujoshi retarded comments, it's like you just got slapped in the face, and the animators were like "Oh no dude, no no, you're not going to enjoy this anime".
THE VERY SAME THING happened with Bakemonogatari, Seitokai no ichizon (Speaking of seitokai no ichizon, you guys know the LN writer is the one who also wrote Ebiten? I know what you're thinking, this guy has a mental disorder, he has some fujoshi fetish or something, i fear for his future), and few other series.

Okay I watched this anime today. Subtitles finally came out. It wasn't that good. It fell short of my expectations. Every character was somewhat annoying. I won't bother with this series. It's crap.
