Were there more than 25 anime airing in the spring?
My thoughts exactly, there are just more or less 25 animes per season anyway. It's just a juggled list of those animes, no biggie.
Hyouka deserves its place... but Mysterious Girlfriend X, Medaka Box, and Dusk Maiden should be higher...

Medaka Box is mediocre at best. I'm hoping that 2nd season will be better.
But I agree Mysterious Girlfriend X and Dusk Maiden should be higher.
Medaka got ruined in the anime version...
It's bad even as a manga, but Gainax really screwed the pooch on that anime adaptation, yes.
Honorable mention that isn't an anime is without a doubt Unofficial Sentai Akibaranger.

Better animation, art style ≠ better anime
Kuroko no Basuke suffered from clunky animations and disproportionate faces at times...
though generally they do manage to ramp up the animation quality during important scenes of each episode. The pacing is done well, with most episodes ending at an aggravating cliffhanger.
And no, it's not like Dusk Maiden where Shadow Yuuko always appears at the end despite the fact that the entire episode was about something else.
Can't say anything about the manga, but judging only from the anime I'd say Dusk Maiden has a decent plot, greatly hindered by unnecessary fanservice which devalued most emotional scenes. The anime had great potential, but fell short with excessive ecchi.
Still, Dusk maiden shits on Kuroko easily.
despite the fact that Kuroko's sales are (Surprisingly) higher than Dusk maidens ._.
Speaking of fanservice, Kuroko no basket has that too, thanks to our moe momoi.
Hyouka's animation is awesome but the story is pretty boring.

I keep watching Tsuritama until the end, but I don't know why exactly I do that.. Maybe because it is a weird anime, who knows..

I am no Kyoani fanboy, but I like Haruhi and Hyouka.. and I certainly dislike K-ON(a perfect moeblob example)

If you've watched that far and don't know about that. You have to ask yourself......WHY???. (If you watch past episode 7 I suggest you also ask yourself WHY???) As you ask yourself why you must fall to your knees and clench your hands in fists and shake them at the sky. Only then will you be resolved.

let's just say "top-animated animes" ... even if you are a fanboy, or if you just love the animations so much (yeah chitanda and the other are hot), think about the other qualities of an anime.

Actually, I do like the animation in Hyouka, but I certainly wont watch it until the latest episode just because it is beautiful..
The story feel like a real school student detective, which unlike Conan or Kindaichi where someone happen to just die whenever they go..
The thing that they are investigating sound quite believable, and possible to happen even in school in real world..
But I have to admit, I think the plot of Hyouka is moving quite slow, sometimes it bored me..
Fate/zero probably should be first and Hunter X Hunter being only at 25 is a crime.
Glad to see Kids on The Slope, Space Brothers, Fate/Zero, Hunter x Hunter and Nazo no Kanojo... as usual, the boring KyoAni moeblob is in first place... but, where the fuck is Eureka Seven AO?
Eureka Seven AO sucked most of the time. It only got interesting in episode twelve.

Episode 12 is just where it's making the shift from Good to AWESOME.

It's funny, I'm a non-native English speaker and I can't imagine getting stuff like this wrong. Or things like "should have" vs "should of" (oh god I can't stand when people do that). I guess it might have something to do with me growing up learning to write English at the same time as speaking it, as opposed to people in America or England who speak it well before learning to write.
No, it's just that you're actually aware and intelligent, and American arrogance makes it so that should you correct our mistakes in our own language to our resident stupid people, they either get angry at you for their own idiocy, or say "Whatever, you know what I meant."

Yeah, I realized that after I typed but write on the phone sucks. Also, as I said before, I learned most of my English from games and internet. Had I learned a little latter it woul have some serious contamination of catspeak.
It's nice to see people actually bothering to write correct english sentences. I wouldn't know how to do that and thus just write what I feel like. Poor grammar probably would get on my nerves, too.. If I was a native speaker that is.
Well, I am American, and when I am president, my first act after swearing in is to have the Too Stupid To Breed Act passed, which requires sterilization for anyone over the age of 12 who misuses "loose" and "lose." Also "their" and "they're".
When it's assumed that you should be able to speak a language fuently (ie, as a native), no one seems inclined to make any effort to check. General approach to life here in the UK: hoping everything is as it should be.

I 'should of' known there'd be grammar police here.
That's because they don't understand that "should've" is a contraction, not "should of".
But you can't fault them so much with its/it's and they're/their because English is inconsistent with its own contraction/possessive rules and special cases a lot of constructs.
My favorite is the singular, gender-neutral "they", which grammarians love to lambast even knowing that it's the only option available, and is widely accepted.
It also comes from dialects, people talk certain ways and that translates into the way they write. I'm from Scotland myself and I can't help saying "Aye!" and "Wit?!" and "Moan then ya fanny!" when I'm typing to my friends. Those were just examples but its just people typing the way they speak, at least in most cases.
Sometimes you do just get the illiterate dumbasses who're so ignorant that they don't even know what they're typing, but who associates with them beyond "Stfu" or *ignore* anyway? :P
Worse in several cases when you are in doubt and appeals to translators like google. It does not help and mixing words, and if you not correct the text end even more incoherent.
Another thing is user who uses this story (you write wrong.. dumb) upset with any comments contrary, and offend in personal way.
As for the topic, most animes are unique to the Japanese market and has no interest in pleasing otaku of foreign countries. There is no point waiting otherwise, if fashion is Moe or yuri accepted or watch other anime.
