I think this is more in line with what that German Sargent had in mind in All Quiet on the Western Front. He suggested that all the world leaders who wanted war should fight it out themselves in an arena while everyone else goes on about their lives peacefully.

I'm diggin this show. Loved season 1 and so happy season 2 is here.
Sure, you're not gonna find intricate plot twists or huge melodramatic arcs in this kind of show. But if you canm tune your minds out of the Death Notes' Code Geasses, Evangelions, Cowboy Bebops, etc. of the anime world, and just sit down and watch the show for what it is, then you'll be entertained as I am. Sometimes it's fun to just turn off the critical thinking parts of our brains and let us smile for the hell of it :D
