Kasuga is being played by Kyoko Ochiai, seems to be a fairly new actress, not a large body of work yet.

Yeah, many of those costumes look pretty accurate.
Only Saneda's seems a bit off, rest seems pretty spot on when compared to their anime counterparts.

Just talking about the costumes themselves, not so much the actors they've placed within them.
Not quite sure how she's portrayed in the game, but in the Anime, she very much gave off a Western "feel" due to her appearance, even though she's from the same village as Sasuke Sarutobi.
Same with Anastasia of the Glacier from Brave.
So the actress donning a blond wig, it works about as well, as when Jessica Alba did that for her role as Susan Storm. Might've been better to go with another actress. *shrugs*

Yes they most certainly had, if you bothered to use google. Also the Japanese were importing or building their own firearms since 1546 and they were the most widespread missile weapon by the end of the period.

Kenshin is being done by a woman as well (Arisue Mayuko). Similar to what they did with Saiyuki back in 1978 to 1980.
The character of Tripitaka, who was supposed to have a rather androgynous look was played by Masako Natsume at the time..
Also there's Nohime, Oda's wife, the one with the butterfly tattoo on her leg. (Nagasawa Nao is doing that role.)
Kasuga would of been perfect if they had Japanese AV star that has the boobs to do it maybe Julia or Ruri Saijou.

The Sengoku period is not "ancient" by any stretch of the imagination.
They look like the winners of a cosplay contest. The costumes do look really great, but I'm not sure how I will feel seeing them in motion as a TV series. xD

Quentin Tarantino inspired his works.Miike-sensei's really unpredictable prolific award-winning director-writer and some of his cult followers are somewhat quite unpredictably disturbing especially in the U.S.
