As if it were not attracting enough attention for its unprecedentedly raunchy content already, sexy fighting game Dead or Alive 5 has upped the ante – and much besides – further still with its latest sexy bikini bunnygirl cosplay outfits.
The sexy pair are each getting free (to collector’s edition purchasers) bikini DLC, but fans also get to vote 3 other characters into what will presumably also be extra revealing extra costumes.

I think everyone's been thinking the same thing since DOA 2 and definitely since DOA Beach Volleyball but the tradeoff would be an ESRB AO rating. Certain big box chain stores also refuse to carry AO titles so you'd be relegated to buying it online or through a shady porn shop.
I doubt Team Ninja is going to risk getting involved in another Rockstar "Hot Coffee" media event and a DLC patch is probably out of the question too. For now, we'll just have to settle for unofficial mods.
In the volleyball games it at least made some sense to collect skimpy bikinis. Fighting in fucking bunneygirl outfits is beyond bad taste, unless it's inherent to the character design. From now on this game shall be called: Jerkfest - The Fighting

It isn't because of chain stores, but straight up Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo. Remember Manhunt 2? It had to be reworked because Sony and Nintendo refused to let the game out due to an AO rating.
You'll notice that the only AO rated games are for PC, since there's no manufacturer behind it (well.. there's one for CD-i).

Way back when it came out, I was trying to pick up a copy of Leisure Suit Larry: Magna Cum Laude for the PC (shitty game BTW). I was told by managers at Wal Mart and Future Shop (owned by Best Buy) that they don't carry nor would they special order any titles with an AO rating. I finally did convince a manager at EB Games to special order it; however he had it shipped directly to my house instead of to the store.
I'm only into Nekomimi, but other than that...PREORDERED!

The only male characters this game needs are Ryu, Jann Lee, Zack and maybe Brad Wong. The game will do just fine without the other guys, even Christie could be forgotten.

This is the result of the artists having nothing to do once they've done all the basic modelling needed to run the game and are waiting for the programmers to make it workable.
DOA's a great fighting game, in actuality. It's just overshadowed by its other... features.
One thing they DID get right with Battle Raper II was the "Rip-off" Clothing idea. Eventually she gets naked, but it actually takes time, and doesn't always happen if you defeat the opponent before-hand.
(Of Course Illusion.jp hasn't created a single decent game since. That's 2003 for those not paying attention)
I think having clothes is better than not, but sometimes having the ABILITY to see them completely buff is actually just as appeasing. It's not that She is/isn't naked. Its the fact that it's possible that makes it even more fun. (Srip-tease)
All I'm going to say is this: They might as well created an A/O version or A/O Patch, else someone WILL do it themselves. Anyone remember the original DOA:Beach Volleyball? A couple of guys put together a Nude-Patch (Still Available for Download) that allowed players to select an "Invisible" Swimsuit. Though she's still "Wearing" a swimsuit by computer standards, it's opacity was perfectly clear, so you didn't see ANY lines or indications that there was a suit there.
Anyways. I'm a game hacker myself, so if it isn't going to happen I'll be getting to work opening Game Meshes (Probably Maya or 3DSMax... I'm thinking.)

Every DOA, there's less and less costumes for characters... It used to be a good replay incentive, while being kind of fun to make dress-coded matches, or make the "best use" of manual camera upon victory.
Then, DOAX2 stinginess came, you had to pay for stuff that have been de rigueur until then : school swimwear and sport outfit (which don't cost much in terms of work).
What was to conquer is now to buy... I hate this trend where the player is reduced from hero to shopper, even if I hope they have nice things in "not-store" for us anyway.
