You do realize that the designs for the Queen's Blade girls have existed for years before their anime counterparts even came out?

Queen's Blade 2nd season so far had best.
I'm guessing if its the best, then the standard isn't so high.
Queens Blade does not take it that seriously, even though it has its moments.
Illustrated and manga of Rebellion though seems to be serious and very dark by comparison and even OVAs had entire villages wiped.
The second season was a continuation of the 1st so you'd have to lump them together since you wouldn't know who the characters are unless watched the lst.

Yes there is a story after the end of the first Queen's Blade Reina gave over the crown to Claudette.
Claudette's reign of Gainos is peaceful but she has begun attacking neighboring lands burning other Kingdoms to the ground.

There is a story, just like every other ecchi/hentai anime, it's just that it's one of the smallest focuses, so no one really gives a shit.
