What kind of standards must they have to call Fate/Zero 2 disappointing? Or do they mean it has too much well written plot and excellent animation and not enough pointless fan-service?
They're probably just hipstering because they read the original novels and found a few nits to pick.
2 be honest I watched both Fate Stay & Fate/Zero & have found that Fate/Zero had way better story & character development then Fate Stay so it was surprising to even see this on a retarded list like this but hey you can't bend ppl expectations
They're not as disappointing as its made out to be - you guys forget that a lot of the viewers are otaku with no taste and no class.
But this is for the majority of Western Viewers.
AS for the shoddy quality its because a lot of the animation has been outsourced.
Its not all Made in Japan like in the old days.
They're cutting a lot of good stuff out of time necessity. Which they've promised to put back in for the disc release, so.
Read the light novel and you will understand.
The last episodes especially are badly adapted, it really pains me intensely to see such a waste. The worst was the 20th episode, but the 21, 23 and 24 are almost the same.
Ufotable screwed up the last part of the series (best part of the books by far) it's a mere obviousness.
Of course, the adaptation is not as awfully bad as with F/sn tv and the movie ubw (they should have never existed honestly), but it's still a big disappoinment overall. For once sankaku is right.
I could understand the Fate route but
Unlimited Blade Works only had two hours of screen time and you expect it to be as good as the ENTIRE ROUTE?
Well if they had a brain they wouldn't have done this movie in the first place. Not to be as good as the original route is one thing, but being that shitty is another thing.
For F/sn tv: many points were still impossible to understand, the background of the visual novel is freaking huge, and overall the harshness of the story was toned down. But the really bad part for me was the little parts of UBW (or even HF) inside it: it's a weird mix for which they changed many things (the story sometimes makes no-sense even if you don't know the vn, and some part of the background itself were clumsily changed), the caster part was especially bad.
judge the work unbiased as it's own creative work of animation, not as an adaption that has to squeeze in every detail of the source.
because from that review, you seem to be reviewing more the book than the anime.
You don't understand: i'm talking about the EXPECTATIONS (=this list from sankaku), which were due to the original story.
Nobody said F/z tv was bad, i just said it was badly adapted especially in the end, you could only expect more.
and I'm just saying expectations blinds judgement and enjoyment.

I don't understand how anyone can be let down by the New Prince of Tennis. Who would have expected much from something that went clearly from fairly absurd tennis manga to theres no way in fucking hell ever even if god himself tried manga.
Nisemonogatari is ranked the third best selling anime, with like 60k+ sales unit.
Nyaruko, according to stalker, first volume is going to sell around 9k (That's a decent number), and Hyouka is going to sell around 10-12k.
This list is awfully awful.
I'm betting people on sankaku get paid based on traffic or comments. Shitty Fake list = more traffic because people link friends to the "look at this bullshit" = more comments = more money for them.
Being disappointing doesn't mean it won't sell anyway.

This list is not really fake, just biased to the majority of the voters.
All the lists on SanCom came from one place, that always makes lists based on votes.
It's not a fake or even "strange" list - as was pointed out the end, it's based on "disappointing expectations," meaning that either the anime featured were basically bad, or that fans expected something totally fantastic and ended up with something which was merely good or excellent.
Alternatively, it may simply be that the most heavily voted anime also tend to be the most widely viewed and therefore also have larger numbers of detractors than those even of genuinely bad titles.
And the rankings keep coming up because people just love them for some reason!
Top list based on worshipers of pokemon? I do not know which group always helps with the list but their tastes are so completely stupid indeed.
What to expect from fantastic? With so many animes and mangas for all years is unlikely to appear 100% innovative ideas.
Always something somewhere will remember another anime or manga .. (except the famous trip to the beach, the spa the hero takes punch in the face by looking at, lunch boxes with food poisoning, and animes with ecchi subtitle and the whole story does not appear a hero male and bla bla.)

Can we have a ranking of those rankings? Or even a poll about who wants to read about those ridiculous rankings? So far, i have lost all faith in the "fandom" that i'm a part of.
I mean, it should be clear by now that most rankings here follow the same lame tradition that older shows (and that's a very enthusiastic depiction of the word "old")are never a factor and that all those rankings about anime could be consolidated as "Top 10 blah blah of anime not older than 2 years max"
By now, everyone should know that Japanese polls are worthless. I don't see a huge demand for them, to be honest. Try to throw in some international ones, or hell, some that are at least a bit meaningful.

Nisemonogatari was 100% meant to be mostly fanservice and shaft reflected nisioisin's light novel excellently. Haters just gonna hate. Honestly, hyouka and accel world've been pretty good too .__.
One can give some consideration to anime that is SUPPOSED to be 100% mostly fanservice?

I did. But I didn't watch it for the plot. I watched it for the "plot", like any other sane otaku. I watch Hyouka for the pretty in-between animation. I think there's an anime behind it somewhere, but it's lost in the noise.
