Statistical analysis demonstrating that Bleach and Naruto carry the least amount of text and have the biggest pictures of any Shonen Jump manga has lately been the cause of even more mockery of their much put upon fans.
The study’s findings are summarised in a chart of almost Shonen Jump level simplicity:
The basic approach of the investigation was to count the number of frames and lines of text in each title featured in Shonen Jump over 3 chapters, and so work out the general complexity of each title.
Although this can be interpreted in a variety of ways (a manga with short chapters might have to pack in the text), the most obvious conclusion is that a manga with hardly any text and only one or two frames per page is unlikely to be highly challenging to comprehend.
The creator of the study could not help but note that Bleach had by far both the lowest number of frames and the lowest amount of text of all two dozen titles, with its big pictures and absence of boring text ensuring that it is “living up to its name as every page is overwhelmingly a bleached white expanse.”
Close on Bleach’s heels is none other than Naruto – with the 2nd lowest amount of text and the very least amount of text per panel, although it is noted that this spartan use of the written word is largely excused by the strongly “dynamic” depictions the series is known for.
Meanwhile One Piece placed somewhere in the middle of the pack, although it did have the 4th highest amount of text per frame, it being suggested that each chapter contains a fairly large amount of information but that a low number of frames forces each to carry a fair amount of text.

man why is medaka so low on amount of text? a couple of weeks ago medaka had this insane chapter, which probably killed a couple of typesetters and translators

Well guess what, keep trollin' and trollin' , won't change the fact that One Piece, Naruto and Bleach are the top manga right now. Apparently people like more art than lots of shit talk. Just sayin' !

Better than One Piece... That one is just unbearable.
One piece is a style of choice. I love the art in One Piece, because it's not what new anime are like. Just how people think Death Note/Bakuman has great art, but it's just their style.
Did you even read more than a few chapters of One Piece? The art style is great and makes One Piece even more unique than it already is compared to the relatively bland rest of SJ titles.
Only if you're talking in oversea terms. Because Bleach has been ranking very low lately. If you said Toriko, then I'd agree with you. (Even though I fail to understand why it ranks so hight... well, I fail to understand why Naruto ranks hight too.)

It makes me sad to see a Zero fan not being able to spell words correctly. Since Mega Man is a fairy old series, I should be assuming you are well aged enough to understand how to contribute intellectual thought. That's not necessarily true. A story that progresses little could drag out with cliffhangers, leading to more sales of the next chapter. It doesn't mean people prefer the story told that way.
Hey, as a narutard myself I have only this to say;
I am not stupid, I myself have ALWAYS wanted more dialogue in the stories, but just because they don't talk too much doesn't mean it's a bad story overall. I still enjoy the ideas and concepts, and probably think to myself 3-4 times the dialogue in self-analysis of the story and what is going on.
But still. I really would prefer if there was more talking in them. That's just a fact.
The story is crap in Naruto, I'm sorry killing your own cast and that shitty way of bringing them back is stupid. But I won't go more into detail as to why many other reasons I hate it, that and plot errors they've had to fix for messing it up.
It's quite amazing how retarded you are. If you don't like it, you don't like it. Don't go trying to super impose your own ideals over someone. What are you, Hitler? Go back to school and learn how to speak properly.

What about Gintama? That series is fucking amazing!
Gintama's great, but the anime is SOOOO much better then the manga it's probably best to just wait for another season.
One of the few examples you can ever give where the anime is better then the manga.
Ginatama anime is good solely because of the seiyuu and not so much because it is animated. It's by far the only show where i can happily watch filler episodes where the protagonists do nothing other than sitting under their kotatsu, talking and eating tangerines.
But yeah, you have to treat them both as separate. The manga has a perfect balance of frames a and text, imho. Which is quite surprising, since there's a LOT to read there. It's quite astonishing how much humour/spoof is in almost each line. The perfect comedy/satire, if there ever was one.
Don't know about you but I found the Gintama manga great as well. Now for Nichijou, they did an amazing job with the Anime, far surpassing the original manga which just didn't give the amount of impact with some of the scenes as the anime did.
Gintama gets kind of old when you grow out of jokes featuring excrement.
Of course, some people never do.

so normal text + many frames = many text
better than putting a bunch of things in just a square so as to make it difficult to understand what is happening. One Piece is an example of this.

In Naruto during battle, when there's few "action pages" with barely a single word, I sometimes can't understand what's going on, and just skip it thinking "bla bla bla, more jutsu, explosions and bunshins, nothing to do here"

I'm not a fan of Naruto nor Bleach, but I'd think they would have a lot of fight scenes that don't require much in the way of dialogue. It's a manga so I think pictures should take precedence.
Read the chart, it's still has less FRAMES. Meaning there's less drawings and more big drawings. Basically statistically showing the least amount of information,.
That theory is flawed, more frames don't equal more information, it's about how the mangaka conveys the scene.
You can't measure the amount of information in an analogous data source just by counting.
Also, more information != more entertaining.
