i think light novel adaptions really are the best. that's where all the good joshi anime seem to be coming from these days, and like NakaImo, they always have cute titles.
that, plus Kokoro Connect, Tari Tari, and more, so this is a good list for me.
yeah, most manga adaptions tend to be heavy on fanservice (which is nice when they're not covered by blinding light), but its the light novels that provide the situations that don't need drawings to be sexy (like monogatari).
I've always been curious. Was it OreImo that startd the current trend of light novel titles and covers?
When you walk through an anime bookstore, all the light novel covers have such good artwork. It's kind of like the temptation to pick a light novel for its cover.
it was most likely that little thing called haruhi
Haruhi started the light novel boom
he ask for that style of titles on the cover, which is almost the same as the one in Oreimo
or maybe that thing called full metal panic...
No, tons of light novels came out before Full Metal Panic, Ore Imo, and Haruhi, even with similar covers. The difference would be they're either not as well known or not as cared for.
Wincest always Win !!!
Light novel adaptations are good only if the producers and screen writers decide to faithfully follow the story's events. Taking too many liberties with the story only ruins the name of the title.

the problem is that most people tends to think that the story of the anime is the same of the light novel, yet they don't even read though
Type B sells well
Type AB with moe and mech sells awesome
jfc summer season looks horrible.
time to catch up with older shows.
Yeah. What a horrible fucking season.
Yuru Yuri♪♪ is going to be awesome. Can't wait!
...you're shitting me, right? If you want to watch sexually reversed and retarded females then head to your nearest public highschool and save the broadcasting time for shows that actually have some worth...
Our skirts are menacing no?
Why you rather have girl rip head off instead?
Muv Luv is the only thing I recognize besides some of the sequels..
This is the very first season where I see nothing on the list that excites me. Absolutely nothing. It's not all shit, but only like two or three seem like they have any sort of potential at all, and even then, very little. There's just way too much pandering filler garbage. Too many shows that people will forget a matter of weeks after they finish airing, if not sooner. I miss GOOD anime. I guess I'll just spend the summer watching old stuff instead.
Watch Petite Cossete! If only more animes were made like that with fan-service mmmm
DIE MOE FAGS!
MOE FAGS WILL SOON BE MASTERRACE.
REST ASSURED YOU SHALL DIE.
Someone is not happy and has ugly girlfriend!
You cannot deny the power which is moe-desu!
Mmm dat rage makes me cumfortable ;P
DIE ANONYMOUS FAG!
Lagrange Season 2, do want! :o
don't want -_-
Go watch pokemon brat!
Go watch your naruto, asshole!
I love how if someone does not like a particular show they are immediately a naruto fan...
So anyone that doesn't like some generic yuri mecha show automatically is an American-level Narutard? Cool story bro.
It got a second season because it was already planned to have one, even before the first season actually aired. But just because you disliked the show dosen't mean other dont enjoy it tho.
True only thing that made RNL first season suck was the ending.
the story itself quite bland, I agree. Hope for better in season 2. But, the characterization is one of the best I think, that's the only reason I don't drop this anime.
while you are right in suggesting that Anonymous 1:23 doesn't have to watch it, I do have to sympathize with that Anonymous. Aside from Muginami's tits and one episode focused on the antics of a group of punch clock villains, I found Lagrange to be a fairly bland show, which leaves me to wonder how it could get a second season. Well, so long as it's running, it could always turn out better... maybe.
This list is Maru! Looking forward to watch YuruYuri, Lagrange, and Horizon!
Horizon is number 1 on my list.
So much "Type B" anime... are there any "Type A" anime and fans left in Japan?
you should read some of the old artcles about the difference between type B and type A. in short, type B actually spend the money needed to support the tiny anime industry (so tiny, it can only afford tv time slots past midnight). so yes, type A anime is slowly disappearing.
I'm watching anime from the 90s. You should do the same ;)
90's anime is WAY better than most anime today. I blame all the pandering fanservice.
I agree. 90's was the golden time for anime. Now originality is almost non-existent.
Blames boobs. And mini skirts.
Are you bone-headed males kidding me?
90's anime STILL had fanservice. Dragon Half, Ranma 1/2? And so many more.
You guys epic fail. I bet you all have wrinkly shrunk up dicks! That's why you can't handle fan-service
I guess they found girls, started families and/or went to work, so they don't have time to watch 20+ anime episodes (10 hours) per week.
IMO if you can tolerate some fanservice there are still some fine hybrid shows like Higurashi or Bakemonogatari. Madoka's really about plot several places before cute girls even start to matter too, and lacks pretty much anything ecchi.
I honestly can't tolerate it any more. Aside from anime being like 13-15 minutes an episode because somebody decided we needed 6 minute intros/outro credits with an additional minute informing us of what the next episode had in store, I just can't stand pandering fanservice and the same gags/situational humor seen in 20 other damn animes being repeated like it's still funny. I'm watching a new anime that isn't even new; it's just a remake of an old anime because fuck if I know why, but it's good, better even, than today's new anime.
Well thank Ishihara because he's gonna make sure animes with significant plot or mature themes don't come out either!
Legendary titles like Berserk won't even be released in anime form without some horrible censoring done to them and themes which will piss of feminist and their toad followers!
And not the old anime from the 90's either.
Joshiraku. More (most likely SHAFT-) animated Kumeta-sensei works, now with extra moe power.
almost feel bad im interested in none of these but now i have time to catch up on other shows.
