The adorable antics of Mio, Yui and Mugi have finally ended with the “grand finale” of K-ON!, disappointing many fans with its humdrum campus festival send-off and total lack of any surprise announcements – although one last sight of nekomimi maid Mio does provide them with some consolation.
Fans seem less than delighted with the ending:
“What an amazing ending, shows just how little they care about it now!”
“This was a harsh way to end it, really.”
“This ending was really worse than I imagined it would be…”
“It really did not end elegantly. It was a big mistake to reunite them.”
“I love you, Ritsu. A world without Ritsu isn’t one I want to live in!”
“I’m begging you, don’t end it! K-ON! is eternal, it should just go on for ever like Sazae-san or Chibimaruko-chan!”
“Keep it going until the pension era!”
“Die you filthy K-ON! moetards!”
“It ended with the four it began with. That’s good, Azunyan and company were all superfluous additions really.”
“The editors were idiots not to end this in concert with the anime.”
“Why did this ever become a hit…”
“The publishers probably want to be rid of this finished franchise and concentrate their efforts elsewhere.”
“Since when is this franchise finished!?”
“As expected, they did not work as adults or students.”
“And they never even got boyfriends at university. What movingly chaste girls they are!”
“I guess they’ll be starting the little girl era version in the autumn.”
“The cover is pretty emphatic about it being the ‘grand finale,’ but I can’t help but think they are going to periodically reviving it.”
“This really has all the looks of a hiatus rather than a real ending. I bet it’ll be back in 6 months.”
“It must be harsh to have your work become so overrated because of the anime adaptation.”
“I’m actually interested in seeing Kakifly’s next work.”
“There is bound to be either the third season or another movie though.”
“My guess is an announcement with the tankobon in the autumn.”
“Who cares what happens, what’s interesting is watching the anguish of moetards struggling to deal with it ending.”

I kinda wanna see Ritsu with her bangs down before it ended
No..you don't
Trust me it doesn't suit me!!!
Oh and...FANART!!!!
Dat sex hair when dem bangs are down.
I will miss this series so much. T_T
They don't want the characters to date or marry anyone, so how else do you end a slice of life manga?
Have them date and marry each other.
I think you're on to something.
that, plus an endless eight style arc. oh... wait. we could achieve that compiling k-on hentai.
The infamous Toriyama syndrome!!
I hazard that Kakifly wishes to move on from k-on. The whole dating/marring thing only an excuse in order to do this.
While a big publishing house is all too keen to keep pumping out more k-on rehash.
No artist want to defined by only one piece of work.
@17:38
They don't want that, because it will remind them too much of what they will never have..
Sad pathetic buch of loser Otaku...
Boo hoo, Something you liked ended in a way you didn't like.
I wish people cared when that happened to stuff I like. But whatevs.
K-On honestly was pretty fun for the first season but the second season was absolutely terrible. It's a show about girls in a music club in which the Music gets like a 1% of plot time.
Unlike say Beck, which is all about the music 99% of the time. Sadly that show never got it's deserved second season and the Manga got cancelled in the US after volume 12 :(
technically, beck is purely focused on music, and k-on is focused on comedy like how the girls just have fun with whatever and do random stuff with their everyday lives (with a bit of music on the side). so they aren't really much alike.
It just so happens that both anime/manga have music and bands involved with them.
I wonder how many people hate K-ON! just because they're sheep who jump on the hate bandwagon.
Again, a matter of opinion. Some like actiony Anime, some like horror-gore Anime while others like a laid-back relaxing Anime.
The key here is knowing that you might dislike something that others like or vice versa. Does that make them tasteless or the show itself horrible? Nope, not at all.
Just like how you might hate the 'boring' slice-of-life shows, some might cringe at the sight of (animated) blood or frown at controversial issues like incest.
Instead of venting irrational hate or trying to force your own moral views on others, the smart thing to do would be to just ignore the things that you don't like because... surprise, surprise, no one is forcing you to watch the things that you don't enjoy.
Except that we are on the internet so "the smart thing to do" does not apply.
at first i question about all the hate too, but then i actually watch the show, and it turns our that K-on actually suck.
I also questioned that hate, but i watched it too, and i enjoyed it a lot.
I wonder how many people like K-ON! because they want KyoAni's dick up their ass.
A lot of Tsundere trolls here who want kyoAni's dick up their ass, huh?
im with Anon 23:51 on this one.. K-on is overrated as fk anyway. Good riddance
I wonder how many people like K-ON! because they're sheep who jump on the like bandwagon?
What I wonder is how many people hate K-ON! because they're sheep who jump on the bandwagon?
Don't hate it. But it certainly isn't as much fun beyond the 1st season of the show.
oh boy, sure is
>BAWWWW someone likes an anime i hate
LOL tbh the dude doesnt have much breathing room considering if he had them getting boyfriends and stuff a huge explosion of his fanbase and dozens of death threats and loads of them would stop reading it.
Now Artefact has one less thing to write about.
How about some anime galleries? Its been a long time since Sankaku has seen one.
Or Viper challenges...or.. boobs, galleries of with an abyss filled with boobs.
It's just China, Korea,Religious and American articles nowadays as filler not like those good ole days.
I'm still waiting on that K-ON movie BD
How could they end it so badly?
Because it was bad to begin with :D
I've enjoyed it since the beginning.
Troll harder!
I've always had a soft spot for troll hard 4.0
code geass and death note fan detected
How are they even related...
I agree, K-On's awful. I can dig a little moeblob here and there but man did it take hardcore strength to watch that show.
That's weird... I'm not even a hardcore fan and I've enjoyed the series all the way to the end.
all the way to the end is the definition of hardcore. I couldnt even finish season 2, let alone enjoy it.
@19:12 How is that the definition of "hardcore?"
just because someone watches a whole series doesn't mean they're hardcore. I mean, try applying that "hardcore" logic to any series and it would sound retarded.
Die you filthy K-ON! moetards!
Now I want to know the reverse translation of "moetards"?
moegenius?
Its ended badly just because its a headache to come up with scenarios for the story.
Burn out is burn out.
Mugi hasn't changed much, But Ritsu, Mio and Yui are changing a lot. They're becoming young women. Not the little girls we all fell in love with when the anime made a splash.
I'll stick to the first ending. It was nice to have them a bit longer around, though.
Sayonara, HTT!
Fuck you Ritsutards!! Ritsu doesn't worth nothing!!
So is your grammar :DDDDDDDD
It's sad they're getting so butthurt over a story with no story...
We watch it for the moe... not the fucking story. Get the fuck over it... CAN I GET AN AMEN?
Next Manga will be K-on Reboot.
K-On really didn't have much going for it anyways. The characters were adorable, and the music from the anime was good, but that's about it. It's rather obvious that the actual story would end bad.
They did this ending so that fans will buy the Hokago Teatime T-shirt ...
Hmm, so it has ended. In the end, what they did was complaining, trolling, whatever they're doing.
Why do you guys always act like that when some series has ended? You guys are so- WAAAHHHH!! MY MIO! I'LL MISS YOU!
