I haven't watched this series at all yet, but just wanted to say that one of the greatest things about KyoAni is their ability to get ambience, environment, lighting, etc. spot-on perfect every time.
Because of this sort of detail, watching KyoAni stuff is often just as engaging as watching a good live-action movie, which is something that's been becoming more and more uncommon in anime series over the past several years.
On a random side note, what has Production I.G. been up to lately? I'm starved for series with high-quality animation!

"tastefully modest" is such a great way to describe KyoAni and it's what makes them so good at what they do. No perverse content to distract from the plot (whether or not it has a plot, lol)
I think that might be the best description yet.
While the characters aren't always this dignified (look at Nichijou for some cute girls being amazingly stupid) There's a certain abiding respect for their characters that's refreshing.
It helps, of course, that the visuals are gorgeous.
I think Nichijou goes more about cute girls with absurd reactions than stupid. Most of the stupid comes from Yuuko while Mai is a troll genius and Mio makes some extreme reactions.
by the way how come there is no new article about the blue ray release of the episode 9 of Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai?
