Just because it didnt sell doesnt mean that its bad, only that its was different and usual audience didnt understand it.

Dont worry, there isnt enough manga left to make second season of it anyway. So they pretty much did turn most of stuff released by that time into anime, so the fans dont have anything to whine about. It was great anime, for some reason with low selling success, but it wasnt harmful for KyoAni. It got its rerun in this on TV this year too, so DVD numbers probably would slowly grow.
Because otaku are obsessed with what is popular (within their own hipster subculture).
Nichijou was light-hearted and cute, just what you'd expect KyoAni.

I totally agree with Mio in the 1st place, she's pretty much a perfect combination between moe + hot/sexy girl, she has a wonderuful personality too IMHO.

Nagato seems to have won many of hearts due in large part to the movie. Yuki will always be number one in my opinion. Kind of sad to not see the LS girls in the top 10.
