Natsuiro Kiseki has earned itself the dubious distinction of being highlighted as having the worst production quality of any anime in recent memory, with fans rapidly despairing of the latest episode – although given the quality of the content, some are hailing it as only appropriate…
Doesn't that happen all the time? First few episodes get good animation and the rest turn to shit. It's just to capture the interest of as many viewers as possible.
if the show actually had korean animators, it would probably look pretty good (even 2ch admits this, so you're probably a white person pretending to be from 2ch)
In truth? Not all that much. People can down vote you and everyone can say this is crap, and it's sad that it got into production release, but it's still minor mistakes that could be easily corrected. It's not something that makes or breaks the anime, just a quality issue that probably hit because of some reason or another.
Within the confines of the style itself, most of these small variants are within range, it's just that absolutely they can do better, and with Bluray releases, if they have half a brain, they'll take care of it.
It doesn't matter if I have or haven't. This article was about the art. Art alone doesn't make or break an anime, but as an artist, yes I know it's very very important. Things like that can get distracting, but the story still exists.
I didn't presume to comment on the story or characters as an entity. Just the art, nothing more. And yes, it's not as horrible as it could have been, and it's nowhere close to the best. It's just nobody actually has any perspective anymore.
A lot of yuri fans overlook this because of the terrible production and maybe Yuka. This is not what I expect from a Sunrise anime. You want some almost-yuri quality anime? Go watch Mouretsu Pirates and Upotte!! and next season, Lagrange and Yuru Yuri.
This anime has almost a sort of retro feel to it. Both animation style and quality resemble a lot of anime from 2003-2006. Not awful but really subpar by today's standards.
Yeah, I dropped this after the third ep, after I realized the story wasn't going anywhere and the girls weren't moe at all. And if this is what qualifies as 'yuri' these days, then I am truly in despair.
I also gave it a chance but wound up dropping it for now since to catch up on other quality shows.
I might marathon it once it's complete, but for now it's not one of those shows that I look forward to every week. Pacing is slow it feels like it's missing something that makes slice-of-life shows watchable (personality or maybe lack of moe as mentioned above?)
As much as I watch this for the yuri and Rin, it is a shame it has a horrible quality. No wonder yuri fans overlook this anime. At least we got that near "love confession" even that too is tainted quality-wise and ruined by Yuka.
Well I hope Sunrise fixes very single one of those errors before they release it on BD/DVD. It is unfortunate that this anime gets shunned by its lazy art and animation.
Kinda reminds me of how they effed up parts of Index S2.
this is not as bad as that.
naw, i'd say it's actually just as bad as that
Index characters were super big headed anyway so few herd derp here and there means nothing.
At least they fixed it in the Blu-ray release.

WTF. I did only watch one episode of it, because it was boring, but in first episode quality was actually pretty good. WTF did happen to it???
Doesn't that happen all the time? First few episodes get good animation and the rest turn to shit. It's just to capture the interest of as many viewers as possible.
Overworked and stressed out animators.
or just bad ones.
More like Korean Animators.

Watching this after watching Hyouka...
I like Sphere, but the quality of the animation was really disappointing...
what's wrong with the quality, really?
009 looks like nichijou's reaction faces, except in natsuiro kiseki, they're not intentional...

Move along, nothing more to see here.
the funniest part is you haven't even seen the anime.

Let them trolling.
They made yearly 1-2 show. Unfair comparison.
They probably blew most of the budget for this episode on the sweet cg bridge. This episode's quality had me laughing the whole time at least.
This was supposed to be a yuri anime? I thought it was just a terribly under-budgeted Shoujo anime. o.o
A lot of yuri fans overlook this because of the terrible production and maybe Yuka. This is not what I expect from a Sunrise anime. You want some almost-yuri quality anime? Go watch Mouretsu Pirates and Upotte!! and next season, Lagrange and Yuru Yuri.
what are you saying lagranne had way more fails than this.
well, what can you expect from overworked and underpaid animators
This anime has almost a sort of retro feel to it. Both animation style and quality resemble a lot of anime from 2003-2006. Not awful but really subpar by today's standards.
That's sunrise for you..
Watch Steamboy and blame them. It's made slowly, because the costs were high, but the animation turned out awesome, even on movie level.
Moe? More like meh.
At least they have a rare blonde with shoulder length hair.
That blonde sure is hot.
Btw, what's up with the upvotes and downvotes here?
Never watched this, but is the QUALITY only for this episode, or did the earlier episodes suffer the same shitty QUALITY?
entire series, unfortunately, although this episode was the worst

sulk more... the production team might start giving a shit aobut u.
I bet they give a shit about my paycheck...

you get what you pay for.
I never pay...
well if your paid $3 an hour might has well work for you money.
Wish on the big rock for better quality. It will come true.
But we all have to wish for it too and really mean it!

These seem like the kinds of mistakes that usually get fixed on BD/DVD however.
Well I hope Sunrise fixes very single one of those errors before they release it on BD/DVD. It is unfortunate that this anime gets shunned by its lazy art and animation.
Medaka Box looks worse
I disagree. Sure, Medaka Box could've looked better AND have better animation, but it still looks better than this.
