If the considerable enthusiasm of fans is anything to go by, Hyouka is in danger of becoming the most popular anime of the season, having reached almost K-ONesque levels of moe in its 3rd outing.
Fans seem to have been hoping for illicit underage activity of another sort:
Chitanda and Ibara are sooo cute. With 21 episodes of this kind of quality animation, it'll definitely be one of the best anime of the year. Really, the only ones who won't like this are the kinds of people who obsess over code geass and death note.
"Really, the only ones who won't like this are the kinds of people who obsess over code geass and death note."
exactly, the kinds of people that seem to frequent all white people anime sites. you know you don't have to take someone seriously anymore when they consider a plot that has someone "being a villain for the sake of the world" to be "deeeep".

Any different from

Two sides of the same shallow argument, but at least one of the sides try to argue for the "Plot" while the other side think that animation quality + cute girls = masterpiece.
I'm sorry, but you're making it very easy for you here. I don't obsess over Code Geass and Death Note;
those two are really good animes, but there are many shows that are better. I also consider K-ON! to be delightful and relaxing to watch, but nothing more than that. I definitely wouldn't watch it a second time.
As for this show here, it obviously copied the K-ON! style 1:1 which might not be a bad thing, but judged only from the looks of it, it might not be my cup of tea.
How did it copy the style? KyoAni did K-On! as well as this series. And the Novel of Hyouka came out six years before K-On! existed. Both shows are great and also completely different, but I'd definitely recommend this.
In what category do I belong? I liked K-On very much but I find Hyouka rather boring.
None of the characters don't feel particularly believable and that main guy character is annoying because he's made of cliche. Do they really have to force that "Oh, wait a sec, I have to remark again that I'm reluctant to do anything because of my limited battery charge capacity." so often?
Only brain dead would need to be reminded about it that often. I think people would understand his personality even without him repeating that all the time. Does anyone else think that's annoying?
Unfortunately this might become my first kyoani series I'm gonna drop if that continues :(
This has great production values, but I can´t stand her voice. Its too forced, I know its common in anime but it goes in micky mouse level of forced.
Do guys get off from that voice? Im female so I can't say.
Uh, most voices in Anime are NOT forced, so I'm not sure what you're talking about. Are you talking about Eru? Because I think Satomi Satou is doing a great job.
That table made of cardboard certainly was capable of hiding a secret lover. It all clicked when they said "His family is mostly involved in middle school education."

Compared to K-ON, the fact this show has also guys in addition to girls is a plus for me. It creates better dynamics between the characters. Especially since I don't much care for yuri (other than Nanoha and Fate, anyway). Hard to say if the story will have any more impact, though. It hasn't certainly had a rocket takeoff...
At the very least the characters have actual personalities, like K-On season 1, not like the preschooler personalities that every girl (except azusa) got in season 2
I couldn't stand those chipmunks from k-on. Looks like they corrected that error at least for the teeth based on those screenshots but the face of that girl still seems.. creaturish imo. Maybe i'll watch it.. Maybe. I still have a ton of other anime lined up to complete on my spare time.
Wow, this is probably one of the best Taiga cosplays yet. She's so tiny and toradorable!
I wonder if someone could extrapolate her height using the... More

How the fuck is

Ugh... Why did I even bother to post
You make a good point.
But I like the mystery solving gig of Oreki instead of the things you're listed.
Last pic is only for those who can't hold while inside. ;-)
I realy like code geass & death note. I also like hyouka. So how do you categorize me?
Sorry for my grammar.
I'm a fan of both, too. (code geass/deathnote and k-on, etc)
Gotta love this one, the animation quality's nice. And its there's guy main characters.
Lol, why can't someone enjoy all types of anime? XD (like me)

It's Kyoani
How did it "copy" K-on's style when it is made by the same people? Genius!

Enlighten me as to which shows are actually better lol.
Smile Precure is better! >8D
Kodomo no Jikan is much better
Kuso miso technique is better.
Boku no Pico.
(Yeah I know, low-hanging fruit and all that)
This has been really good so far, and the animations are incredibly stunning. I'm really excited for each new episode to air. :)
It's kina like K-ON with Hanasaku Iroha quality graphics
that doesn't make any sense
Another good anime from Kyoani.

I find myself constantly waiting for her to make a lewd air headed joke a la Seitokai Yakuindomo.
Aria just made too great of an impression on me.
Those eyes. It stares into your soul.
That's how she got the lazy bum to solve mysteries.
Satomi, Yoko, and Aki have their voices cast in too. \o/
Yay! I look forward to Yoko Hikasa voicing someone!
crap anime is crap
^ Crap troll is crap
Worst show ever created.
I don't see any interesting in K-on but this is interesting like solving case but light case
this series was and is full of win
shit if its plot dosent spark your attention that animation sure will. im liking it thus far.
This anon hate Code Geass, like Death Note, and love Hyouka.
It's that earnest, trying-so-hard look of hers that really up's her Moe Level

I have yet to watch this KyoAni masterpiece.
That table made of cardboard certainly was capable of hiding a secret lover. It all clicked when they said "His family is mostly involved in middle school education."
I went, "Bingo!"
Then they said it was smoking and I went -_-.

kyoto animation anime is full of moe
as soon as underage activity gets included it will be worth watching
Still questionable even then.
I just like this anime and it's interesting and funny too.
I'm enjoying the series so far, but really? Do they have to whore out 3 of Bach's most famous peices so much in the 3 episodes?
Pic39: "He jizzed in his pants."

I don't think it's that moe to be honest. You know, it has an actual plot and everything...
