Honestly, if they did stuff like this in America... you know? I'd do it. I've never donated blood before but I'd have a major incentive if I could get something rare like this then I would probably do it.
Actually it isn't as good as one might think. They aren't allowed to use your first donation. They must test you for various stuff etc.
They are allowed to use your second blood donation for the good of the world. So expect more of those events. And because otaku generally do not have sex, they are pretty good for blood donations. (All the stuff you get tested for is stuff one only gets from sex.)

Because using whole blood isn't mentioned on the blood service site at all. It must be a pretty rare occurrence.
My point was that even A+ donations are useful because their platelets, which are the part with the shortest shelf-life, can be used for multiple blood types.

That is because A+ people are better than other, obviously. They do donate blood. B, AB and 0 People don't do this, so they'll have a hard time if they are in need of blood. Darwin called it natural selection. Sometimes it does work.
Do keep in mind however that the Red Cross gets so much A+ blood every year that over half of it gets tossed out. That's why I don't donate...I can bleed into a sink to just as much benefit.

i dont know sounds like extreme pain in the ass to give blood to pay for living expenses . after i donated blood , i feel asleep for four hours .
There are people who pay living expenses by donating twice a week for I think something along the lines of 100 a week. I think first donation is 40, next is 60 or something like that. It's not much, but adds up. It would be hard to work though with that much blood loss, so I wouldn't recommend it if you have a job unless you do it with a day off after.
If I remember correctly, it is illegal for them to give you money in return for blood in the United States. I don't remember why exactly though.
Plasma donations on the other hand net you 30-80 dollars a week, but you have to go twice to get that much and they pay you a lot more the second time.

They don't even advertise blood drives in the US unless there was some disaster because people donate so much blood that you get to the place and they tell you that they don't need your blood type if it isn't something very rare..
