Hatsune Miku fans are outraged at China’s latest “original” creation, a Chinese virtual idol whose looks and live performance bear an excruciating similarity to those of Miku herself.

Miku’s legion of loving fans, whether Japanese, Chinese or western, seem to be outraged:

I'm not a huge rap fan but I'd rather listen to 3 months of Tupac than 3 minutes of that mindless autotuned jack-off fodder these otaku hillariously refer to as music.
While I was a little angered at 2Pac for dissing Prodigy because of his sickle cell anemia, I have to partially agree with you on this one.
I don't hate Miku or any of the Vocaloids, I find them interesting and as we improve the technology to approach the realism of human voices, they'll provide a better experience overall. But I prefer listening to hip-hop, though.
And never mind the disses, the West Coast vs. East Coast wars of hip-hop are dead since the late '90s anyway. So either listening to Mobb Deep, 2Pac, etc. doesn't matter anymore as long as the music is good.
Oh, and before anyone asks, I'm a white person and NOT American.
I for one would NOT be listening to Miku if her voice was synthesized to be human. That's part of what being a virtual idol is about, and something rap-lovers just can't come to comprehend (no offense). In the end it still comes down to what type of music you prefer in person.

With that many people I'm sure there are many Chinese artists who could make something better, I fail to understand why China resist so much to hire a few chinese otakus to make something original. It would be cheapper than all the structure and equipament needed for that horrible show.

The problem is China's big businesses and industries don't want to shell out more money for it unless it came from somewhere else *cough*government*cough*. Take into account that almost every product made in China can't be sold in China...you really can't be surprised by all the plagerism.
