DoA 5: “Tops Become Transparent Through Sweaty Fighting”

Arch ero-innovators Tecmo have unveiled an entirely new and for some all-too realistic mechanic in Dead or Alive 5 – the female fighters get hot and sweaty as bouts progress, resulting in clinging, see-through tops.
Tecmo, apparently not satisfied with having the most advanced breast physics in any fighting game to date (although Namco might well dispute this), have upped the ante and introduced a full sweating mechanic, which sees characters slicken with their pugilistic exertions in a most realistic fashion.
To a certain specific (and perhaps larger than many would care to acknowledge) audience, sweat-drenched girls are the acme of sexiness, and this coupled with transparent clothing and augmented breast physics in general seems sure to please the average DoA fan.
To the delight of an even more specific audience, the fighters also get dirty as the matches progress, and their breathing even becomes heavy as the exertions of bouncing around the ring take their toll
Various other finicky modelling enhancements of a more general nature are also promised, so even the handful of gamers who play the series strictly as a fighting game should have something to look forward to.

Yeah but those games kind of sucked :_( Only the hot women were worth it.
First one was good. The volleyball was good and fun unless you had Tina as your partner, in which case it was painful. The fanservice was good, girls were good, and jiggle physics were nice.
DOAX 2 however, while with more features, had jiggle physics out of control. Like from Big Mama's House with Martin Lawrence I think, they needed leashes for their boobs.
That's the only reason people bought the game. well that and to see them pole dance my favorite part btw. Damn was I talking about again? include pole dancing!

I hope this encourages Konami to make the third Rumble Roses game, it would be great with all the recent graphics advances.

As a big fan since DOA2 I've played every release from there on out, but I really don't like the way the series is going, I mean really, it should be about the fighting...

CoDs are shit, but it's crap like this that makes it increasingly difficult for anyone in the fighting game community to take DoA series seriously.
Then again, Capcom screwed us up with disc-locked CHARACTERS in SFxT, so let's see if KoeiTecmo would play fair and only charge for extra costumes and effects like this.

If the fighting game community is scared of sex appeal, they would be complaining about Chun-li's Alternate Costume 1 in SSFIV, but people didn't because Capcom cares about balance to a certain degree.
I could go on and on citing priorities, combos and frame data to destroy DoA, but this isn't the place for that.
Then after they are hot and sweaty from fighting they retire to the onsen for some yuri bathing action.

So... I guess this game needs no guys then. As I doubt anyone(who buys this) would play with some dirty guys when you can have a girl with see through top panting heavily on the screen. I also see that the battles will be long in this game!

I actually loathe the new artsyle overall, i liked better when they were Anime-like and not this "Western Comic" feeling, "Realistic" vs 2D, we all know which one wins.
Hopefully they pull a fast one and make everyone 18 in the game, cant beleieve the 3ds game was banned in sweden and australia.
Unless they're doing some kind of reboot thing or prequel where the characters haven't aged, by the point of this game I believe all the characters should be over 18 anyway by now.
The first game had Kasumi as either 15 or 16 if I recall correctly, and each game has spanned at least one year in game time each so far. Ye never know what they'll do for certain though.
Frankly I reckon they should pull some kind of time distortion plot stunt and have the whole game involve mortal combat between elementary schoolers. With only that one old guy being about middle aged at the time. See how the censor offices like that one.

Believe it or not, but the game-play in DOA in really good. I remember playing DOA2 in the arcades way back when.
