Female bodily fluids anime Mysterious Girlfriend X’s high level fetish content keeps flowing, much to the delight of its rapidly levelling fans, most of whom seem particularly interested in the new pantsu-less direction the series is taking.
What the hell is with all the drooling? does it grant some kind of power? cure some disease the kid has? it's pretty creepy if it doesn't have any special property... besides of being normal drool
Is sharing drool really that different from making out?
I've read as far as has been translated, and to be honest I think she has a touch sensitivity issue. That'd explain why she doesn't let him hug her, doesn't kiss him (yet), and cries when he forces himself onto her and licks her ear.
I know what you mean. When I heard the news early this year, I thought to myself....man!....why?. There is nothing "cool" about the manga. The only thing that draws me to the manga, is the mysteriousness of Mikoto. It makes you want to wait in pain for the next chapter. What is she, does she have a deeper connection with Momo her lookalike, and where are her parents? Still so many questions...probably will never be answered.
So far I have not watch the anime yet, but I have the most recent episodes. I'm going to wait til the manga is over, then I'll wait to watch the anime.
On another note. I'm a little worried about Akira and Ryouko. That part where he tasted her finger/drool and it is, as he stated "tasted sweeter than usual". I hope Mikoto's faith on Akira remains undaunted. Although this has happened before. He even had a nosebleed cause by Mikoto's look like the idol. But that nosebleed was caused due to his pervyness.
Is it even possible to kiss when you both are wearing glasses ? I've kissed girls in glasses, glasses get in the way. If i was wearing glasses too - cant imagine how that would work.
Wait ... seriously? Yes, it's possible. Don't worry about it and just let it happen, it's not like they'll get in the way if you can figure out what the hell you're doing.
To all those who: "liked this series and read the Manga before it was cool"
This is a great series. It manages to keep me interested and admiring it and at the same time not curious to check the manga.
For example with Mirai Nikki, by ep 6 I have read the entire manga, which may have been a good thing since some things are clearer there and I got HAMMER TIME.
Unfortunately mangas are not a great vector to start liking a new series. For animes you have season previews, first episode reviews, mighty useful season charts, etc. 4 times a year. Four times a year to get interested in a new series.
To my knowledge there is no such thing for mangas.
Actually, this series get's pretty dull after a certain plot development takes place, and the intrigue readers/viewers feel from the first few chapters gradually vanishes, leaving them wondering why they started liking the series in the first place.
It had promise, but like so many other promising series, this one will (I promise) let down the viewers if it lasts the duration of the manga.
Maybe I will but after the anime ends since you praise it.
But the idea was this anime is very balanced and deserves praise for it.
It makes you curious enough you will watch the next episode even if it's the last thing you do.
But not curious enough to spoil yourself by reading the manga.
Thanks for pointing that out.
Since it is still ongoing i'm pretty sure i will try it after the anime ends since they will probably get diffrent endings.
you do realize that 98% of the people saying "I read the manga before it was cool" are just poking fun at hipsters right?
I'd say that if ou think you can actually judge a series by a five minute long preview, or a review by somebody else then your probably missing out on allot.
the only way you can truly judge if something is good or not is by "actually fucking watching it" it's the same for any medium. previews, and reviews just cause more people to shallowly judge a series without even having really given it a chance, or judge it based on somebody elses oppinion.
maybe that's partly why we have so many ignorant douchebags, in the anime community?
I always give a series atleast three episodes, or six chapters to hook me.
True. You cannot judge a book its cover, or anime and manga by umm..... p/reviews.
I would even say you can't even judge a series until you have seen it to the end.
BUT that was not THE POINT.
It was that all this makes discovering new series a lot easier. It improves discoverability.
I usually look on the chart to decide what would interest me and then check season reviews to see if there is something I would have liked but missed.
According to this seasons chart there are at least 52 shows, not counting OVAs and movies, I can't check all of them out. Plus there are still series from last season. I ended up deciding to check out a list of about 32 of them not counting OVAs and movies. Plus, this season is special as it has an extra I will watch, Legend of Korra.
At this moment I have not yet finished checking out said list.
i want DAT PANTSU!
Quite the freaky anime!
Ueshiba Riichi has that effect.
What the hell is with all the drooling? does it grant some kind of power? cure some disease the kid has? it's pretty creepy if it doesn't have any special property... besides of being normal drool
It is. the kid's just addicted to it
Is sharing drool really that different from making out?

not sure what her problem is, but it's fairly obvious she isn't quite normal.
hence the title.
I just hope we actually get an explanation by the end that is actually satisfying.
I liked this series and read the Manga before it was cool
i read the concept before the manga was cool...
ive read the concept of the concept before it was cool o.O
Stop acting like hipsters before I drown you in the Mainstream.
I drowned in the mainstream before others did! >_>
I learn to read before it was cool.
I didn't learn to read.
reading is way too mainstream.
reading is overrated..
fucking Hipster..
I was the one who inspired the concept
You drool?
No, he stuffs scissors near his steel frankfurt and gonads like a boss!
And that matters....why?
I liked this author before this series.
Here here. Discommunication is pretty badass.
Lies..... It was never cool.
don't know... looks so weird...
The manga was always good, Who cares about "cool"?
I know what you mean. When I heard the news early this year, I thought to myself....man!....why?. There is nothing "cool" about the manga. Then could you explain me the appeal? Because I'm the only one on sankaku who finds it rather disgusting :(
Urabe is the appeal. That's why it's "Mysterious Girlfriend" and not "Mysterious Drool".
so how many episodes before they axe it ? the mange was intressting up to 20 ? and then it gets dragged out feeling
The show is sheduled for 13 Eps only.... We can only hope for more next year.
Please tell me pics 006 & 007 are the MC as a trap.
Nope. Its his best friend's short yet busty girlfriend.
reader of the manga way b4 anime was announced.
the newer fans are in for a treat at the end of the season (which should be obvious to all those that have taken the time to read the manga).
I wonder just how far the season will go though. Will it stop before the Idol arc to leave room for a 2nd season?
...Wait...The Gender swap chapter...Oh this is gonna be good...
Same here, been reading it for YEARS.
And to quote Anon @10:44 22/04/2012 #
The art in this is so damn cute but I just can't stand the saliva. I dropped the manga for that and it seems I still can't stand it.
The 'drool' is the plot-device that 'drives' the story.
Without it (the 'drool'), there would be no story.
Is it even possible to kiss when you both are wearing glasses ? I've kissed girls in glasses, glasses get in the way. If i was wearing glasses too - cant imagine how that would work.

Admit it Tsubaki. You're friendzoned for good, with some cocktease now and then.
My bodily fluid withdrawal syndrome show can't be this good.
It is.
Coming soon:
"Mysterious Girlfriend X Yuri Drool Exchange"
"Mysterious Girlfriend X Breast Groping Anime"
Those will happen at some point this season.
those things happen in the manga. Undoubtedly it will happen in the anime.

But it's the same author of Discommunication.
Discommunication: Seirehen trolled me with the first chapter with the naked loli. Then I never saw her undressed again.
It works better as manga. You're missing out.

Manga's still ongoing anyway.
The story was originally a one-shot in 2004.
Then it was picked up again in 2006.
And is still ongoing.
Even though the series is taking a few 'liberties' with the anime, it sticks very close to the original source (manga).

Thanks for pointing that out.

Oh, and yes, I have realised that.
I was just using that line as a pretext to write this and complain about the lack of discoverability mangas have.
I know, complaining on the internet about not finding Japanese mangas to read, easily enough. Really childish of me if I think of it.
