It is amazing that this anime captures the art style of Tony Taka. The girls and their eyes are so gorgeous as ever.
Tony Taka's style is pretty much anime in the first place. Nothing amazing about that.
@02:37 I don't think you understand what he means. Tony Taka obviously draws in an Anime style, but It's a matter of getting that unique art style of his done right in an Anime. Basically, this Anime did a great job of adapting his glorious art. Oh, this is also done by Production I.G.
I'm not pro IG, but they do some amazing stuff from time to time. Their also incredibly good at adapting various art styles in their Anime.

I just went over to watch it and there are so many stills in the very first episode(you know, the one all studios usually try hard to impress audience with).
meh... most, if not all, of his designs are pretty simple pallete swaps on the same base...
while (very) nice and pretty from time to time, i find his quite dull, and boring...

@Chen-04 I disagree. The Hentai OVA Fault!! looked pretty damn good in animation, and the art was great.
it's not we got to see anime with this kind of quality always. lets just enjoy it shall we?
We may also disagree upon what qualifies for good animation. I think Cream Lemon was good for its time but nowadays some of the best they can manage is kyoani stuff, which really isn't all that great.
You can tell how samey it is because the expression never vary, and the eyes are always perfect horizontally flipped and then skewed/tilted/resized a bit to fit if it's not front-on.
It's really fucking lazy and not fun to watch at all.

Saying "Do it better yourself" only shows you can't take criticism or you get upset that someone doesn't like the same things as you do. He doesn't need to do anything better to give his opinion on something.

Yeah, not gonna lie, I came here for the Tony art. I wasn't dissappointed. :) As "plain" as the story is (based on the first episode anyway), im still liking it.
That guy is working hard to satisfy dem girls with his bread.
And they love how firm and long his baguette is as well.

The story in BREAD: THE ANIMATION is about this guy called Rick. Everybody loves Rick because he has the best goddam BREAD in town. I'm not quite sure what it is he puts in his BREAD to make everyone so thrilled by it. Since everybody seems to be enraptured by the smell of them, so much so they can smell the bread from miles away, I'm going to assume the secret ingredient is petrol. That would also explain why the mental capacities of all the citizens in the town are damaged. The three girls who help him with that jaw dropping, drool inducing BREAD do not have the brain capacity between the three of them to outwit a hedgehog. They seem to only ever think about BREAD as well as how wonderful Rick is, mainly because he is the one with that delicious BREAD.
Not that the entire episode is of the main character and his three dimwitted lady friends carting his amazing BREAD around the town. Oh wait, yes it is! That's the entire fucking episode. OK, so at one point they go into the forest, but they're still delivering BREAD to everyone. They revitalise a wounded Precure plushy with some of Rick's revitalising BREAD. They get really angry when an elf insults Rick's awe-inspiring BREAD. Those girls got really pissy at that. They have been sampling large portions of Rick's BREAD all their lives, so they know its glories more than any stupid elf. Also there was some other wolf girl or something, who also wanted some of Rick's juicy BREAD, saying it's nowhere near as good as the BREAD from the other person in town.
The only way I got through the anime without gnawing at my own arm was replacing the word BREAD with PENIS. I advise you to go back and re-read this review with that in mind.

Wolf girl is actually another Elf, and in particular the sister of the rude male.
She also doesn't say that the bread from the other person is better. Just that she's had bread by the other baker (kinda reminds me of a stereotypical witch or the local midwife actually, rather than a baker) and thus knows her and later on wonders if they're her pupils.
Which seems likely, considering they make reference to the ingredients used by the Old Lady, and of which they don't have enough. Hence why they even end up in the forest in the first place, to go look for more ingredients themselves.

As for name, what I really wonder is what the heck did they do for those 3 girls... in the game you get to choose to play with ONE of the three, and the character's name and voice are the same for all three...

aside from the art style of Tony I found the characters to be pretty bland and overall the episode was very boring. Not sure why people like this? O.o
Most of the people who would like this usually played the PSP game and that includes myself. The characters in the game were great and this is only the first episode, so it's too soon to comment on the Anime adaption.

i think he did the right thing. because keeping up a nice attitude towards someone you dont give a single §$%§$% is a pita.
and they can give the package someone else who needs it more than him.
