to help many people to understand some scenes in the anime.

first, the lad with the orange hair have Social Phobia
and the water rising is a scenario of the rising tension building up for him as people gives him the attention, as to result in choking(fully submerged in water).

the guy haru is a guy whom set things in his own pace,
he have this charisma and glow that pulls people in

so far these are the few explanations i can think of through reading up psychology.

I'm watching Fractale right now. Only three or four eps in and so far the confusion seems mild. A virtual society forgetting humanity, a sheeple government with matching rebels, and a token ancient/mystic girl or two? None of it's new, really.

Any casual can tell you that it's very common to be presented with the unexplained and, in a few cases, never even get an explanation later on. Fractale's "WTF?"s seem par at best.

...it was easy to understand, though. The plot is pretty straightforward if you pay attention.

An anime with more than one lead male character(who looks shota-moe)?

...come on. Was it really that hard to understand? I mean, the story (it seems there is one) wasnt revealed, characters are a mistery, it's a little weird at times... but to the point to be "confusing"? No way. It's strange and interesting, no bad at all.

So if The portrait of Petit Cossette and Utena were aired this season, heads would explode?

I thought it was pretty easy to understand. Should go something like this:

Ancient Japanese people were plagued by a sea monster until it fell in love with a goddess. In actuality, both the sea dragon and goddess were aliens who fell in love and one of their offspring is the character Haru, as exemplified by his triangular halo, control over fish, and delcaration that he is in fact an alien. Our other main character -- whose name escapes me atm -- may or may not have a past relation to Haru, and is plagued by severe social anxiety. Regardless, he manages to make a group of friends, who grow closer to one another via fishing.

At least it got Cencoroll's character design, this is enough of a reason to watch it! =3

Meh, for me it'd just be something to watch when I'm bored or when I'm busy drawing or something, I'd just have it playing in the bg.

I believe the so called dragon is still on the ocean, waiting to attack, so that's why the alien ( could be reincarnation or just a descendant of the original miraculous girl) has come to search for it before it starts going on a rampage.

P.S: don't quote me on it lol

Online MMO's are taking up my time and no time to watch new ones any more. From my mental rating scale a person has about 5 years to watch Anime 'constantly' before the ability to do so stops. I mean no matter how much you think you want to you just don't find the time for it any more. So, the average watch 8 + shows a season customer is about 6 years. Thats the base you have to draw from to get sales.

Fractale? Um.. I don't know if you're an idiot or what but I haven't heard anybody talking about Fractale being incomprensible and a small minority saying it was a bad show so...

cuz it is already become an industry, you have to fill the gap with something..

Otaku don't like to think too hard. Just give them their pantyshots and don't make it too difficult for them.
