Rarely has the reception to a new anime been one of near universal incomprehension, but Tsuritama seems to have secured this unusual distinction all the same – although most seem mercifully inclined to give it until the third episode before dumping it like so much Fractale…
An anime with more than one lead male character(who looks shota-moe)?
I’m going to watch this when I have time. 😀
…come on. Was it really that hard to understand? I mean, the story (it seems there is one) wasnt revealed, characters are a mistery, it’s a little weird at times… but to the point to be “confusing”? No way. It’s strange and interesting, no bad at all.
So if The portrait of Petit Cossette and Utena were aired this season, heads would explode?
…it was easy to understand, though. The plot is pretty straightforward if you pay attention.
I thought it was pretty easy to understand. Should go something like this:
Ancient Japanese people were plagued by a sea monster until it fell in love with a goddess. In actuality, both the sea dragon and goddess were aliens who fell in love and one of their offspring is the character Haru, as exemplified by his triangular halo, control over fish, and delcaration that he is in fact an alien. Our other main character — whose name escapes me atm — may or may not have a past relation to Haru, and is plagued by severe social anxiety. Regardless, he manages to make a group of friends, who grow closer to one another via fishing.
At least it got Cencoroll’s character design, this is enough of a reason to watch it! =3
