Car-owning Evangelion fans not satisfied with only having a NERV phone can now augment their piloting skills with the Evangelion Portable Navi, a fully voiced Neon Genesis Evangelion themed GPS car navigation device, finally allowing them to drive themselves into the sea in style.
Not only does the device boast spoken instructions voiced by such seiyuu as Megumi Hayashibara (Rei) and Megumi Ogata (Shinji), it also boasts Evangelion style fonts and graphics, and appearances from the characters concerned.
For the truly reckless, it can also play TV and movies, and accomplish the other functions expected of such a device.
The Evangelion Portable Navi (or “NERV GPS Navigation System” in English) is due for release on the 20th of April for ¥39,800, exclusively through the Evangelion Store.

Me: "Hmmm, now what corner was the turn at?"
Haro: " Haro Harooo~! "
Me: "Yeah! thanks alot Haro! that *totally* helped..."
Haro: " ( ・ω・) HARO!! "
Me ".....so like are you gonna tell me where to turn or not..."
Haro: " ( ・ω・) HARO!! HAROOO "
Me " Gawd damn it >_<; "
That sound more like R2-D2 than Haro, lol
I am throwing money to the screen but nothing happens!
you have to throw the coins! the COINS!
I just dropped my ice cream.... this is nuts I DEMAND TO BE GIVEN A TEST TYPE of this device to see if I can indeed drive myself out to sea.
English version where?
made mine with subtitles. I like the dub but subtitles would be cooler.
Quickly, someone make an app for this for US otaku!
I actually have a reason to get a car now.
"But sir, you don't even live in Jap-"
"SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!!!"
True Words,
DAMARE!! WATASHI NO OKANE O TORE!!
DAMARE!! WATASHI NO OKANE NO TORU!
"DAMARE!! ORE NO OKANE WO TORE!!!" fixed. Watashi makes you sound like a girl. watashi no okane no toru means. my money's take....?????? Japanese fail :)
Motteke Dorobou! Is how the Japanese would say it.
Thank God somebody noticed the Japanese fail - there is hope for our community yet!
It is a fail but watashi doesn't make you sound like a girl. It's the polite form and everyone says it. boku is casual used among friends and 'ore' is only used for really close friends. You would usually hear ore in anime and teenagers in public in japan. Sometimes adults. but in your case, stop copying 'anime talk'. But I will put ore translation properly for you. So in all: 黙れ!そして、俺のお金を取る (damare! soshite, ore no akane wo toru) is shut up and take my money. 黙れ!俺のお金を取る is shut up! take my money. It can possibly be said as 黙れと俺のお金を取る damare to ore no okane wo toru.
---romaji: only good for anime titles. If people are still writing in it, means their Japanese is not good.
Or they just don't have a Japanese font.
Tore would be the proper form of the verb, as it's an Imperative. Toru would be, "to take", you're stating that they are currently taking your money, which isn't quite right. Tore is the command form of the verb where you are telling them to take your money.
Watashi is polite, but this is not a polite statement as you're interrupting them and giving them a command in the first place. Boku is more casual, and Ore even more so, but Ore can also connote a slight sense of arrogance that would be appropriate for this statement.
Who do I throw my money at?
Now to repaint my car in Unit-01 color scheme.
DO F**ng want T_T
What will they think of next?
OH right......Giant Nerv robots.
holy balls thats awesome.
ger versin .__. i want!
i would never buy a gps that is named nerv
xD
Would get one that is called TomTom though.
It had better give me a countdown for when I have 5 minutes of gas left.
Also a dummy plug for when you are unable to drive efficiently
shut up and take my money
ENGLISH WHERE FUCK? ENGLISH BITCHES! ENGLISH VERSION!
Ugh... have you heard the ADV dub voice actors? I'd sooner listen to kittens being chopped to bits in a chalkboard factory.
I'd buy it just for Maya.
I seriously do not recommend getting this for your car.
Once you refuse to follow its instructions, it will forcibly load the Dummy Plug program and force you to follow its instruction.
GPS: Your target is 5 miles south east from your current position.
Me: Ok.
GPS: The target is headed straight for you!
Me: What!? But its a building!
GPS: Take evasive action!
Me: -swirves into a pond-
GPS: The target is moving away.
Fuck, my sides, it hurts.
This product won't sell well. Otakus stay in their mom's basements, they can't drive :(
You seem to be forgetting about "Itasha" .
@05:34
hiki's dont leave their rooms, Otakus go to every anime event/store to buy anime/games at midnight in the release day, how can u call that stay at home? at least learn what otaku means ¬¬
"...device boast spoken instructions voiced by such seiyuu as Megumi Hayashibara (Rei) and Megumi Ogata (Shinji)"
Rei: Gendo said to turn left
Shinji: Please no, left has too many angels! I don't wanna go left, I don't wanna go left, I don't wanna go left.
*thumbs up* exactly my thoughts.
The reason why they don't feature an Asuka voice is because the driver would crash the car just to get away from her verbal abuse.
Awesome
*If the GPS was voiced by Asuka*
"Turn left at the next light Baka, God your stupid."
What, no Asuka? Who could bitch at you in German when you miss turn?
"WHAT, are you STOOPID or something?"
I NEED ONE!
Now kids, don't you go running into buildings now.
*runs into a building*
"YOU'RE DEAD TO ME NOW"
