damn I fucking loving the art style, I briefly watched a few Lupin III the original series, and the ecchi stuff with her was already there so its not that new, but didnt realize it was being rebooted gonna try and watch this as soon as possible
I have been a fan of Lupin III for many many years, and it's all thanks to Fujiko. this anime really gets me going if you know what i mean.
Wow, I completely didn't even catch that Lupin was going to get a revamp or... whatever. But if I'm not mistaken, wasn't she basically the epitome of sexiness back in the day as it is? Isn't this type of stuff her essentially being represented similarly to how her original character was, just with modern animation quality? If so, bravo to them.

Lupin III manga started in 1967 with the animated series in 1971-72. Urusei Yatsura manga started in 1978 with the animated series in 1981.
Even though Lupin predates UY, I remember reading about how something like 30% of Japanese high school girls at the time started calling their boyfriends "Dah-ling!" and adopted Lum's "de-cha" speech pattern. I'm not sure if Fujiko can claim that kind of cultural impact.

I thought the title was just another one of those misleading titles SanCom is known for. I better watch this new version now.

This is the ONLY show this season I was actually looking forward to, and i'm not disappointed. Although I kinda wish they'd used a different color for the jacket. As much as I love the Green Jacket, having the fourth series use a fourth color would have been cool. Although, this is really more of a Fujiko series anyway. I'm just glad that they didn't reuse the red jacket.

I love it! The art style is different from everything else airing and it has that old school feel to it. The redline people are a good fit for the new series.
