Maybe it's the Type A style anime fan in me, but the only ones that seem remotely interesting are Uchuu Kyoudai, the Nadia remake, and maybe Fate/Zero 2. Anybody got any recommendations that fit this kind of fan?

I'm currently watching the second season of Queen's Blade but I can safely say that while I may probably watch this new season I don't really care about it. It's pretty boring stuff. I'm just there for the tits.

I'm on location. :) It's advertised as tonight (2012/4/4) but on closer inspection it airs at 25:00 which puts it into Thursday morning.
Seen the new Queen's Blade it was raw, I guess it's hard to sub things when you can't rip the from CrunchyRoll. Seriously CR mad a mistake on Naruto Shippuden 256 having Mei go meet the "Mizukage" when that is who she is they meant "Tsuchikage" but most of the fansubs made the same sub fail.
But anyway back to Queen's Blade too early to tell if it will be better than season 2- I watch for plot!

you know what, i dont even know what all the hype to the fate series is all about, cause to me it seems overrated. i actually watched FSN to about ep 17 just because it had high ratings. i forced myself to watch the eps just to see if i can get into the hype that this anime got but i couldnt. what got me through the eps was pretty much just wanting to see more Saber, but even that couldnt get me to continue watching, cause basically the storyline was boring to me. No im not some akb0048 fan, i aint even into that kinda music. ive only known who they are about a week ago while i was searching through this seasons animes.

Please, go play the game before judging FSN, anime was pure shit, movie was good but shit anyway (they totally destroyed one of the best plot ever!). The VN is far better, complete and awesome in every level. The hype for FSN anime was because of the game, but that hype soon died as soon as the episode reached 10 and the only ones who have been hyped were someones that hasn't played the game and liked the anime anyway...
fate/zero voter mostly boys and some otaku girls, but akb0048 vote got wide range type of people who await the anime like boy,girls,kids and maybe some fans who not really into 2D

I can understand your reaction, since I can't stand most of these popular show either, but there are plenty series that are worth it. A great place to start is Noitamina's programming block and from there out it isn't so difficult to find even bigger gems.

There really are a lot of animes with deep stories and good characters, but they never make it on any 'Top 10' list that you see. The most popular shows seem to be the blandest, which says something about the viewers.
