Madoka Movies Due Fall

Magical puella fans are celebrating the announcement that two of the three Puella Magi Madoka Magica movies are due for a Japanese theatrical release in the autumn of 2012.
The two, apparently due a simultaneous release throughout Japan, are prosaically entitled “The Tale of the Beginning” and “The Tale of Eternity”:
In total three Madoka movies are due, the first two of which are to be summaries of the TV anime, with substantial new material only due in the third movie – which still appears to be some way off, having not been detailed at all yet.

every episode of K-on have a purpose, like buying a guitar, to getting a pet, to solve an emotional knot. As well as going to concert, performing etc etc.
^This, not to mention the underlying plot of a developing friendship and group dynamic that ultimately feels like an accomplishment. It's not exactly plot by definition, but it is story presented realistically.
I'm not sure if you two are being ironical about K-on having a plot or if you really believe it ...
I mean, who will say : "Hey come on, just watch K-on, it has a great plot, and gives you a really interesting point of view about friendship and all !"
Btw i think k-on is a cool show, it's kinda refreshing, and i wouldn't say hilarious, but sometimes funny.

It has a plot - events that make up a story. Just because someone doesn't like the plot doesn't mean it has no plot.

Madoka and K-on may both be anime but they're totally different in terms of story, characters, and purpose. Saying one is better than the other is like saying Akira is better than Ranma (Akira has better animation but Ranma is the funnier comedy.)
