Magical puella fans are celebrating the announcement that two of the three Puella Magi Madoka Magica movies are due for a Japanese theatrical release in the autumn of 2012.
The two, apparently due a simultaneous release throughout Japan, are prosaically entitled “The Tale of the Beginning” and “The Tale of Eternity”:
In total three Madoka movies are due, the first two of which are to be summaries of the TV anime, with substantial new material only due in the third movie – which still appears to be some way off, having not been detailed at all yet.
Goddamnit, K-On! and Madoka fans. Can you just stop hating on each other and just fap to the girls? XD
Oh please God, let this crap be canceled before fall.
It wont be cancelled and it’s gonna be awesome!
You have to believe in yourself.
cancel this s♥♥t and make a gurren lagann movie instead.
I honestly prefer K-on over Madoka because at least k-on didn’t have plot holes you could drive a bus through
K-on was character driven which doesn’t always require a story of particular depth. Ensemble comedies like Azumanga Daioh and Pani Poni Dash also did the same thing.
Madoka did have a tremendous concept behind it…until it got off the road less traveled (IMO episode 10 began the plot hole unraveling that the series did not recover from)
Do I consider Madoka bad as a result? Absolutely not. The story didn’t complete itself. That’s my simple otaku opinion. K-on stuck to its guns and produced an experience I won’t soon forget.
What I will say is that the Madoka movies do at least intrigue me to a degree (In an evangelion “can they fix it so its coherent” sort of way) and that’s Shaft doing their job even to the dissenters of the show.
I will definitely laugh at an attempt to bash this opinion because thats just what it is, an opinion.
Besides you can’t possibly expect EVERYONE to consider Madoka the god tier its being revered at do you? That’s just silly. Good luck changing my opinion, i’ll let the future movie decide that for me.
Wow. A recap of what we just saw last year that was the biggest sensation of the year. We really needed one so soon.
Considering what a troll Urobuchi is, I wouldn’t be surprised if he himself was responsible for this.
