The winners to the 7th otaku haiku awards have been announced, with thousands of dollars of cash prizes rewarding those best able to capture the ennui of otaku life in 5-7-5 haiku verse. Sankaku Complex has humbly endeavoured to provide such crude translations of their poetic elegance as are possible in a mere barbarian tongue.
The “godliness prize” (grand prize) winner, winning ¥100,000, and with winners determined by user voting:

The 2nd and 3rd place “genius prize” winners each get ¥50,000.

Entries four through eight each get ¥10,000 prizes. The fourth entry, an onomatopoeic representation of “otaku laughter,” attraced much attention, though it is completely untranslatable, and, as might be expected, some of the runners-up were similarly abstruse.

Yeah. The first one is like

With the pronunciations of first and third dimensions being homophones for first child and disaster, respectively.
So, getting the first and third dimensions in there playing off the explicitly written second dimension is what makes it good. Artefact is not kidding when he says it cannot be translated into barbarian tongues. =P
The second one is similar, with thirty nine years old having the second meaning of "triple handicap" or "three times the suffering".
All good haiku in Japanese are like this, and the ones in English just miss the point...
Not very good at it but I'll attempt a more literal translation, hopefully it will be closer to the original expression.

It doesn't matter if you get it or not. If he's happy, it has no relation to your life. Move on

I don't understand how a man can marry a 2d character. The act of marriage must be consumed by the joining of the two parties meaning they ... need to have sex. Is he gonna screw his monitor? His magazine? His Manga? seriously ¬_¬
