A convicted murderer who violently raped a 12-year-old girl whilst on parole has lost his appeal to have his original 4 year sentence quashed, and will now face a staggering 5 year sentence for raping her, despite his claims that she smeared his semen on her underwear whilst she was masturbating in a stairwell, and that he had nothing to do with it.
41-year-old Rocco Jensen, a resident of Stockholm, originally came to police attention in 1993 when he stabbed his 21-year-old girlfriend in the throat and then went to bed, leaving her to bleed to death slowly in the same apartment whilst she tried to escape.
He was charged with murder and convicted, receiving a life sentence.
Despite 61 incidents of misconduct whilst serving his sentence, authorities considered the chances of him re-offending were negligible, and his life sentence was soon cut to 26 years, and he was then granted early release, having served only 12 years of his “life” sentence.
Shortly after his parole he was given a 4 month sentence after being caught carrying drugs and a knife on the local subway, but was immediately released.
Not long after this, he happened upon a 12-year-old girl on her way back from a local park in a building’s stairwell, and proceeded to force her into a stranglehold and rape her.
He was charged with aggravated rape and convicted, receiving a 4 year sentence.
As he was already a convicted murderer out on parole, it was deemed he should also serve another 4 years of his murder sentence.
The man maintained his innocence throughout the affair, and still claims the girl must somehow have got his semen on her clothes and underwear whilst she was masturbating in the building’s stairwell.
He appealed this excessively harsh and unjust sentence, but rather than acquit him the court of appeal for some reason decided the crime contained a number of “humiliating” elements, and raised his rape sentence to 5 years.
However, although he now faces a massive 5-year sentence for raping the 12-year-old, as the court also determined that he had rather egregiously violated the terms of his parole, he will also have to serve the remaining 8 years and 8 months of his original sentence – assuming he is not released early again.
Sweden boasts the highest rates of recorded rape in Europe, despite (or perhaps because of) long having had one of the most pro-feminist governments in Europe, with the UN reporting a 2009 rate of 53.9 incidents per 100,000 inhabitants, compared to a mere 28.6 in the US and a pathetic 1.2 in Japan.

A friend of mine did a thesis on rape (to get a criminology diploma) and apparently a lot of people don't report rape out of shame, or because they can't see the future when their support (husband) falls away.
