Nisemonogatari Ends – “That Was An Ending!?”

Nisemonogatari’s 11th episode finale has inspired a mixed reaction amongst its many fans – some are upset about the inconclusive nature of the ending, although few have gone so far as to seriously complain about what is widely regarded as a another tour de force by Shaft, particularly when there is more in the offing…
That the series apparently ended on the 11th rather than the 12th episode has also prompted some speculation about a possible 12th episode on the disc release, although as the 11th episode reportedly wrapped up the novel, it is not clear what content it might have.
As there are more light novels awaiting adaptation and the series has proven a goldmine for Shaft in both monetary and creative terms, a new ****monogatari series seems all but inevitable.

Sad to see it end, but it was still the best anime of the season, probably the whole year, even though it was only 11 episodes (wouldn't surprise me at all if Shaft pulled out a 12th one though, maybe an OVA to lead into Nekomono).
Kabukimono, Hanamono, Otorimono and the rest BETTER get animated though, and hopefully soon. I need to see my Sengoku go *spoilers*yandere*spoilers*. She was only in one episode this season, even though everyone else got 2-3, =(
yandere?
in my ***monogatari?
FUCK YEAH!
this is gonna be GLORIOUS!
And after that, Onimono, Koimono, and the three new novels Tsukimono, Owarimono, and Zokuowarimono - there's still plenty to go around, although who knows how many ages will pass before shaft ever gets around to animating them...
fuck, you guys are making me cray, I have to read those shits now T_T
Looks like this season just got
:Puts on sunglasses:
.....shafted
YEAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
You caught me by surprise and I seriously laughed out loud...way too loud...I hate you.
Remember that the prequel, Kizumonogatari, is supposed to be in the works as a movie possibly later this year even.
Now where am I going to get my loli needs!!!
You can't just call a show the "best" without telling us why it was the "best."
The atmosphere, mood, character design, and backgrounds were all well-done. The acting was also good. The show always felt like a very strange dream to me. It feels very different from many of the other shows out there.
I'm waiting for the BD rips to hit the net in order to see the show with better sound and the few edits the BD will have.
but you have to admit the "lame pervyness" was fairly original. I mean dat toothbrush... Ive always found the ero aspect of the monogatari series to be refreshing because its not just re-used conventions. For once fanservice doesnt feel outright contrived: it isnt just an all female cast where absense of clothes is a given either through the war on pants or random strip fighting and it doesnt occur because of coincidental accidents: collision, gust of wind, somehow doesnt realise bathroom is occupied and enters whilst hot female is taking shower/changing etc... well okay bake starts with a panty flash due to a gust of wind so I suppose that defeats part of my argument but ah well. Basically, what Im saying is at least it has a fairly natural role in the plot and in who the characters are. Sure, some of the flashes of karens spats and etc are unessasary but they dont take away from the series. The rest of the fanservice has actual importance in what is occuring in the series as well. Besides, isnt shaft just sticking close to the original source?
Sexual content really doesnt relate to how original something is. You sound like someone who would shun eroge as a medium without ever playing one because "pervyness" makes them somehow lesser. Anyway, rant end.
character design had some good moments, backgrounds looked alright sometimes and weak others and beautiful sometimes. Mood when they tried to put stuff did do quite well in creating it.
The acting was probably a 7/10 it was more the writing.
but your right it certainly is unique to most shows if you take away the lame pervyness which scrubs away its originality.
it maybe but it did at the start take a long time to get goin, it wasnt as good as the first season tbh. But looking forward to the movie.
The best anime of the season!11111
The courage to kiss your sleeping strictly non-blood related little little sister, after having stripped and grope her earlier in the day.
Whole show was awesome. People complaining about the ero or the ending are retarded. They both fit in perfectly.
If you like tons of exposition and slice of life than you like the show. I wouldn't recommend it to other people though.
I heard there will be a sequel series as well. (Not only Kizumonogatari before Bakemonogatari but something AFTER Nisemonogatari).
Anyway I liked this series somehow. not as great as previous but still enjoyable for reasons I really don't understand.
It was the ero that was enjoyable.
Maybe it was the tie ins with actions and philosophies.
Maybe it was the beautiful wording making all the dialogue seem reasonable eloquent.
Maybe it was the characters and personalities in the show.
But, with all that said, it was mainly the ero.
What I'm trying to say is, I need more toothbrushing.
It's me again. I admit I didn't read a single novel, I still like the anime. How much do I lose?
I can't speak for this series but in general? A heck of a lot. Anime is a medium with tight limits on episode length and number of episodes. Details and even whole scenes sometimes get axed off to make everything fit.
Nisemonogatari was a great series, really fun, and with a good story.
PS: Shinobu's adult laugh is...boring compared to her child form :(
I actually liked her adult form laugh. It sounds like a witch's laugh and it was quite... bewitching. Didn't know Maaya Sakamoto could pull of that laugh.
Nise was awesome, now bring on Kizu!
hell yeah!
people should stop bitching it's not like nise's story wasn't a total mess anyway. It seemed more like a reason to get as much incest as possible into the show (which I appreciate btw) but it really didn't elude to the fact that there'd be a great ending to the story.
do you actually have a sister or something? As someone whom does there isnt any sort of that in the relationship plus most incest is rooted in child abuse.
Get your 3D out of my 2D!
Does any of you guys of above have read the ligth novels?... I assume you hasn't coz the 11th episode is the end of 偽物語 (下) but as you might imagine the anime adaptation was only for those who acctualy read the book.
That´s why you all got "shafted".
does you speak english?
I do speak Spanish, English, Chinese and Japanese. So what? are you givin' me lessons?
does you speak english?
Here you go 3 extra episodes http://kat.ph/boku-no-pico-3-episodes-t4202784.html
Awesome ! I love that show !
retards who don't understand what shaft is.
Shaft is a great animation studio that shafts. Just that.
shaft is a shit studio.
shaft is a crap studio. Kyoani is a lot better.
Nise and Madoka are inferior to Lucky Star, Haruhi and K-on!
Not including clannad in your list of kyoani anime automatically invalidates your opinion.
Yeah that Shaft Animation Studio is a baaad muther...
Waiting is lame.

u mad? read the fucking novel
Well they did say that they were planning to animate all the "monogatari" series. and 6 more project coming up is confirmed

I bet some people don't even know this anime is based off light novels, and think Shaft comes up with these plots out of nowhere.
Most people watching probably watched bake and it advertised nisioisins katanagatari adaption in the concluding episodes so I doubt it. Generally, most people think anime is composed of manga adaptions to begin with. The more adament fans realise it is kind of a divide between manga/eroge/novel adaptions, with the occasional original title such as madoka or panty and stocking. Nisioisin is a pretty neat writer over all. For those who cant read japanese I recomend trying the first zaregoto novel as its been translated, along with some of his other studd, and you can find it used for under a dollar for some strange reason. I read him before bakemonogatari was adapted and found it quite enjoyable. Feels like reading a japanese pop culture catcher in the rye.
You could say that viewers got..
SHAFTED
YEEEAAAAAAAAA!!!
this would of been a win comment if you didnt forget to put on glasses XD
Maybe she was going to, but took an arrow to the knee.
Someone missed the point.
