“Tda” Hatsune Miku: “Our Angel is More Beautiful Than Ever!”

Hatsune Miku fans are agog at the quality of Miku’s latest avatar – the “Tda” Append Miku model for MikuMikuDance, which looks as if it may bring her 3D fan-made videos to a whole new level.
MikuMikuDance, the 3D dance software used to create so many Vocaloid-related music videos, depends on fan-made 3D models of the various characters so beloved of Vocaloid fans – most notably Hatsune Miku herself.
One such fan, “Tda,” spent months lovingly recreating Miku in her “Append” outfit for use in MMD, resulting in the gorgeous creation below, which perhaps rivals even Sega’s live performance models.

It even comes with an ahegao face, something Sega seems unlikely to ever be including in its performances…
Tda Miku is being sold as a ¥525 downloadable package including the various .mqo, .pmx, and .psd files of interest to MMD users (not very much of this is likely to be of use to non-3D graphics types; some parts are also available freely) – see her maker’s homepage or her product page for more information.

I think she looks exceptionally adorable! :D I love it! Though, I'm not a guy who is all angry about the boob issue though. Boobs or no boobs, this is tens time better than the MMD 3D models that are out right now. Maybe SEGA should hire this guy.
I agree! She is very cute no matter what! She is Miku after all! I wouldn't mind seeing this model in the original outfit though.

Wow, it took the guy months to create. It really shows he made this with such love and care, since the quality is so stunning!
Kudos to the guy for execution and quality!
But... I'm a Miku-design "classicist", and I'd like it MUCH better if he:
* Deleted the polychromatic eyes and hair
* Deleted the blush-makeup
* Restored the original head/face shape
You know, you can always convert and then open it up in compatible 3D softwares like Blender, Metasequoia or Maya to take out all those things by yourself.
In my opinion though, the pyro color scheme made her look more detailed than she really is. You can basically put the same color scheme or even bumpmap with textures on the old model and she'll look more detailed too(though I'm not sure if MMD allows the two things).
Since MMD has recently entered the 8th cup, I suppose it won't be long before we see full, feature length videos with this model.
The polychromatic eyes and hair are pretty standard for Append Miku. The only thing that looked off to me was the head shape, which seems a bit too wide.
The only thing I do not approve of is the new "skirt" thing she has on her waist. The physics here do not work with its movement, and frankly, I don't like how how it looks.
The blush was a bit much.

But thanks to that belt, you see that the creator focused on giving Miku a nice ass! Seriously.
Anyhow, I find it odd that Miku's hair does not move at all yet her twintails move way too much (weight set too low; makes the bones very apparent). Her eyes are also very weird... and from 45 degrees you see that her face is very flat and angular at the sides.
Her foot also is slightly odd. Most Miku models wear shoes or heels, and the way the foot is implemented is replacing the whole shoe with a foot; the foot's bones are usually pointing slightly downwards and its as if this one does too.
Aside from that though, the facial expressions are quite something. Just those eyes are completely flat with respect to the face... Overall a very very VERY nice model. Paid? wow. just wow. seriously? >.>

I would like it much better if he made a Miku-Miku strip dance.
This is the type of model that doesn't take long to make really, in fact much of this stuff can be done in days for an experiences 3D artist, but the time it takes to do this stuff is all in the learning and experimenting and screwing around to figure out what makes the best outcome. The difference between a master and a newbie is the time it takes to make a masterpiece really.

This looks amazing, awesome hi-res texturing. Too bad the physics in MMD are pretty nonexistent, it makes this look bad.

This Append version of Miku needs some kind of footwear to compliment her new look. She looks incomplete without some nice dancing shoes.. or boots.
It's difficult to improve on perfection. Original look Miku will always be best. But this new MMD model really is impressive.
Looks a lot like the style of a character in Hyperdimension Neptunia right down to the eye coloration. I like!

This art is actually quite good. Also, her belt looks fairly similar to Kamen Rider Fourze's. Wonder if she'll henshin or something.

She's a near perfect model (Needs physics, which will be uploaded soon) for a 3D program that normally doesn't have models this beautiful, at least for a price this low, and besides, some of us are sick of Lat-type Miku running around everywhere
