I'm guessing it doesn't count for this list, because none of the shows on here (at least that I'm familiar with) focus on student council members. If it does count, though, then that's a real shame, because both Ichizon and Yakuindomo were fucking awesome.

I have no problem with K-ON! being first, even if it is the most obvious choice. SORA NO MANIMANI should be higher though, that's a very underrated anime that's even a small bit educational about astronomy.
I'd include TAISHO BASEBALL GIRLS, since other sports club anime made the list.
I saw Sora no manimani, seen it like 4 times already, the visuals rock, the music is beautiful, and the comedy is quite funny. Deserving of a Blu-ray release but sad face knowing it will never get one :'(

I would be sad for anime if Genshiken wasn't on this list. At least it hasn't been completely forgotten in this world of short term memory.
This list has a surprising amount of old titles. Touch? That was like the 3nd anime I ever watched.

Although not as daring as Haruhi is I can very much relate to the "wanting things to be more interesting" feeling" believe it or not. As life is boring reading a manga is fun but being a part of it's awesome world would be heaven

Maria-Sama ga Miteru (MariMite) is already forgotten... I also wanna second the guys saying Tenjou Tenge. The anime wasn't god-tier, but the manga was epic.

Sora no Otoshimono is not even about a club and unless you call the club tomoki's House its not a club .
