i'm 5'8" and that's damn tall for a girl in my country. i don't have much of a choice. fortunately my 5'6" boyfriend looks like straight out of a mentaiko doujin, and performs just as nicely :3

Somehow I find this somewhat insulting, yet, at the same time, not surprising.
As a really short guy ( 156 cm's-around 5'1 or so ), women can be somewhat condescending and even insulting towards you.
Makes it even worse when just 26, yet get mistaken for someone around 15 or 16, so I guess #1,#3,and #5 apply to me, but #1 and #4 are definitely insulting. It makes it hard to date because women around your age put off and say things like you're "not manly or mature looking" enough, and girls that are attracted to you are a no-go because you're just way too old. And don't even get me started on the way other men decide get their cracks in on you, especially at the gym.
Getting any respect, from anyone really, when you're this short and young looking at my age is nigh impossible.
Then you simply lie about your age and hit on 15 or 16 year olds. Problem solved. Lots of ephebophiles would kill to be in your position.

I feel the same way about looking young, it gives off the image of being immature or inexperienced. Majority of the public doesn't seem to respect me as an adult, no welcome/greeting or even just common courtesy...at the age of 30. >_>
Errr I don't know... I've seen my very fair share of my female friends (and not friends) having a boyfriend shorter than them (2-3cm) and they usually had varying degrees of a complex about it. They were very quick to anger and jump into a fight and one even hit one of my friends (then his girlfriend).

Tall men are more attractive to the majority of women. If you're the exception, good for you. But usually, girls will go for taller guys. It's evolutionary, it's viewed as more masculine, and that's just the way it is. I'm not saying it's right, but that's how it is.

Meh, I don't mind short guys, but I'm not turned in by them. On the other hand, give me a man (at least)30 centimeters higher than me, and I'd consider him. (Oh, and I'm 149 cm tall, so that 30 cm-part shouldn't really be a problem)

If you are 149cm, all the mens of the world are tall compared to you. A guy with 159 cm is short, but even so, he is still 10 cm bigger than you, so he is tall for you.

They make it sound like the guys are like kids and they are totally harmless and innocent. I am only 152cm (roughly 5") yup very short, but I love my height. Sure people mistaken me for a kid, always get id when buying alcohol, and all the other things

I'm 5'5.5" that's about 162.5cm.... i honestly and truly dislike it when women say "i won't date you because you're shorter than me". to me, that reveals their character in one go: totally superficial, and only in it for the trophy boyfriend/money. And the problem is that no matter where you go, it's always the same.... worse yet, it's an automatic disqualifier for most women; they won't even give you the time of day if you're the same height as / shorter than them...
I'm 4'11", and I don't fell as short in Japan as I do in America, but it still is shorter than average even in Japan.
