When you wish someone "a happy birthday," you do it to make them feel special. Loved. Cared for. Whichever. You do it and they normally respond in kind because they *usually* have some sort of friendship going with you and value your being in some way.

Also like seiyus and similar intelligent young women - she loathes creepy otaku, this is why she's still barrenly single.

Actually, everyone except themselves loathes creepy otaku (note: the creepy kind). Those who stalk and harass, disrupt public life (in the case of extreme train etc. otaku) or even just objectify their idols to a very, very unhealthy extend (destroyed CDs etc. at the slightest hint of normal human interpersonal relationships). It's reasonable to assume that she or any of the K-On! girls would loathe them too.
